Actually that would be Prawn on the Barbie. Shrimp is an American term...

Crap! I gave away my true American identity!

Ou bien, peut-être pas....

PS: what the hell is a barbie anyway? A grill? If so...why name it after a doll? You aussies are weird.

Of course it is. "Barbie" = barbeque; "footie" = football; "uni" = university; "tinnie" = can (of beer, usually).

Ahh, that's alright, it's in our constitution to let you blokes have it back once every 18 years or so

Seriously though, we were well and truly outplayed, haven't enjoyed a test series so much in ages - even if we did lose.

Too true m8 - I remember thinking about 3 hours from the end of play on the final day of the final test - was still unsure who was going to win, though had seen some of the most intensely brilliant cricket from both sides throughout the series - and will be fortunate to see such intriguing cricket like that again.

Has also been great to see Flintoff obviously enjoy the winning the series so much - by doing an astounding 'Barney from The Simpson' impression

Was there a preliminary date for the next X0 newsletter?

Thanks

I haven't gotten mine :-(

(we're talking about the newsletter, right?)

What’s the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.

Yes, zion usually announces it, but it was mentioned that it was delayed because of the mess after Katrina.

But now there's a new hurricane, I sure hope it will not be as bad this time and that everybody will be safe.

EDIT:
no, so far no newsletter #2 and I would have expected an announcement if it really was out.

can't seem to find the info in this thread...

I just received and read mine. Short, sweet, informative. I love it.

Is this going to turn into a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly sort of thing?

Author
Time
Yeah, the newsletter I received was the article on rejuvenating the starfields.
Author
Time
OK, that explains my confusion!

Can't wait for newsletter 2!

The short answer is: no one really knows. Seeing as the audio is probably the easiest part of the restoration, the sound on the final product is on the backburner until the video is ready to be transfered to DVD. From what they've been saying, the final product will have the original PCM audio from the laserdiscs (the best possible audio source available - and it's pretty good! I have Cowclops' original version of his transfer which features the PCM audio and about everyone agrees that the sound is the best feature on that version).

The laserdiscs were encoded in Dolby Digital PCM 2.0 (which can become 4 channel surround if you have a compatible reciever).

There.

Something that I have only seen on one transfer are English subs, are they going to be included? (Really handy when you're eating creaky chips!)

That's no moon. It's a LaserDisc.
