What would you say is the best AOTC fan edit out there?

Definitely “The Republic Divided” by L8wrtr. It’s like watching a completely new (and good) film.

Hal 9000’s “The Approaching Storm.”

And herein lies the problem - there are so many good edits of the prequels that there is no “general consensus” fan edit for any of the three films (3 people offering suggestions, 3 different answers). You really have to test a few out and find the one that you like best.

I guess you can’t make this movie decent without putting in the deleted scenes. But the deleted scenes are so visually jarring cuz they aren’t even 720p

Yep, I’ve yet to see any edit that is halfway decent that doesn’t include some of the deleted scenes. I generally don’t recommend downloading an AOTC edit at a higher res than 720p, it helps them blend a little better.

For example, Obi-Wan and Mace talking on the landing platform is the worst-looking one of the bunch, but it’s in almost every edit because it’s so necessary and so much better than the scene that replaced it in the theatrical cut.
