Leia being Force-sensitive completely undermines the entirety of The Force Awakens.

Yes, I know that Leia has always been Force-sensitive since The Empire Strikes Back (remember when she sensed that Luke was in danger of falling off of the bottom of Cloud City and she had to rescue him?), but today I’m going to explain why the fact that she is Force-sensitive completely undermines the entire quest to find Luke in The Force Awakens.

In The Last Jedi, Leia is seen seemingly flying in space towards the Resistance flagship, with zero build-up to her being this suddenly powerful Force-user at all. In The Rise of Skywalker,

it is revealed that Leia trained under Luke and built her own lightsaber, and she trained Rey as a Jedi after the events of The Last Jedi.

We all know that when you’re Force-sensitive, you automatically have powers. In fact, we see a kid use the Force to pull a broom at the end of The Last Jedi! Since Leia is Force-sensitive, the Resistance wasted their time and resources looking for Luke, even before he refused to go with Rey. The deaths of Lor San Tekka and Han Solo were pointless. So why did they need Luke Skywalker if Leia was always Force-sensitive?

TL;DR Leia being Force-sensitive, especially in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, undermines everything that happened in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi because you automatically have powers when you’re Force-sensitive, and the Resistance never thought about needing Leia as the Force-user they’ve been wanting instead of Luke Skywalker.

The unfortunate reality of the Star Wars prequel and Disney trilogies is that they will always be around. Forever. They will never go away. It can never be undone.

I also prefer to be referred to as “TNT”, not “Freezing”.

“In The Last Jedi, Leia is seen flying in space towards the Resistance flagship, with zero build-up at all.” - she isn’t flying - she is using the Force to pull herself to the ship.

Yes, the scene wasn’t filmed / shot well at all - and has given rise to a claims of ‘Leia flies’ etc… yet no, she didn’t fly.

The “with zero build-up at all”

Well, you just demonstrated that Leia is Force sensitive from ESB and ROTJ… yet you forgot where there is a force connection with her son in TFA as he contemplated firing on the lead command ship. So it’s not a surprise to learn she also had knowledge of, or could pull off with a certain degree, other aspects of using the Force.

Though you do not see it on-screen would it be surprising that as a child… Kylo spent time with Leia and Luke all together using the force for fun, games or education etc? Like families do?

As for Leia’s force-sensitivity “completely undermines the entire quest to find Luke in The Force Awakens”

It is explained in TFA… that Luke cut himself off from the Force - and seemingly the ability for other force-users to be able to find him - not just his sister Leia… but more experienced, powerful and adept force-users like Kylo and Snoke.

That Leia would not be strong in the force enough able to battle Kylo or Snoke should come as no surprise - she has devoted her adult life since ROTJ to serving the Galaxy as a politician - and not practicing increasing her Force abilities to such a level to fight ‘Dark Side’ users.

TROS Spoiler:

Leia dumping Luke on his backside whilst ‘training’ in a flashback some 25 years before… doesn’t mean Leia could have gone up against Snoke or Kylo - or the Emperor. Yoda MAY have referred to her once as being ‘another’ from the ‘No, there is another…’ line of dialogue - but her life has changed considerably since then…

Luke remained their last best hope… until the Force awakened in Rey, and she became ready to stand against them (Kylo, Snoke, and now the Emperor…

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

Luke’s importance is less about his powers and more about what Luke means to people. The hope he inspires. Leia inspires hope but not in the same way as the last Jedi does.

Leia never really came off as being powerful enough for even Kylo or Snoke to acknowledge her in the bakance of the force. Snoke had met Luke and was apparently terrified of him.
