The last season 2 episode of Star Trek Discovery has a usable replacement shot for the Golden Gate bridge, complete with a transporter flying.

Hello, I am also interested if you can share this version. It’s a shame the DC hasn’t been released in HD yet.

BTW, I heard this film exists in three versions:

(1.) The original 1979 theatrical version (132 minutes)
(2.) The extended 1983 home video version (143 minutes)
(3.) The 2000 director’s edition (136 minutes)

Alpen, mate - please; STOP. A little patience.

It may take anywhere between a few days or weeks (maybe even even longer) before someone can help you with what you seek. And clogging up the thread and bumping it with requests every minutes will not help.

While some may think you’re a spammer or troll etc - and decide not to help you out.

A little patience can go a long way.

Meanwhile, please take the time to look around the site to get a feel for how it all works…

If you are new to the OriginalTrilogy•com then the following info may be of some assistance…

Firstly, the About and Help sections may be of interest to you regarding this site and what the OriginalTrilogy•com is about.

Secondly, the ’How do I do this?’ on the OriginalTrilogy.com - some info & answers to members’ queries thread should also hopefully be of some help as to many of the functions of the site, along with other related info as well.

Thirdly, the Announcements Section - including Site Rules & Guidelines, Fan Edit & Preservation Rules & FAQ, as well info for Signatures, Linking Policy for Downloads, and Plot Spoiler Policy (and much more) that may be of use too.

If you are having any issues with the site, have a question, an idea to improve the site, or would like to give some feedback - then these can be done in the Feedback Forum and General Assistance sections.

Finally, the self-explanatory An OriginalTrilogy.com timeline thread - a history of the site and why & how it came to be… contains a fair bit of additional info chronicling both the site & also numerous changes made to the Original Trilogy over time.

Thank you.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

Hi, I have been looking for a HD print of the DE and I think Paramount will keep us waiting for years before they get around to it. I suspect even True Lies and The Abyss will be in HD first.

Please could I get a link. Many thanks.

Hey, man! Thanks for all the work you do! these edits are amazing, especially the Purist Edition. I was just wondering if you could take a look at some changes that need to be made:

There is dirt on the lens (seen as black spots) in the Purist Edition (and blu-ray original) that was digitally removed in the DVD Director’s edition

And the mount for the model was also digitally removed in the DVD Director’s edition

Thanks again ^_^

Can I just say---- ElectricTriangle is THE MAN. His versions (any of them) are SO much better than the existing Blu-ray. He’s seriously doing the lord’s work.

Hi, newbie here, just signed up expressly to see this 😃

I’m also curious about your approach, I thought of doing your purist version some years back. My plan was to use the DC DVD as the edit template. I have the PAL version and thought simply slowing it down to 24fps might yield better quality than reversing the pulldown in an NTSC version. How did you go about it?

I used the NSTC DVD. All of the Director’s cut was completed at SD resolution in NSTC (including introducing weird hard-pulldown issues in the edit process) The Pal DVD is actually an upscale and thus doesn’t look as good and has framerate issues where the NSTC DVD ran at 30fps or broke the pulldown cadence. I thought about using the PAL disc to help get rid of hard subs for the one establishing shot of San Francisco Bay but ,because of these issues, the approach I went with initially worked better anyway. I did use two different PAL discs to source the subtitles for this release.
