I’m new to the game, so forgive me. I’ve been itching to re-work this film for a while now. For those of you unfamiliar with this film, it is kind of bananas, kind of a masterpiece. While I don’t hate the original score, I do believe it is something that keeps the uninitiated from watching past the first minute. The original score sounds like it was made one drunken night using a Radio Shack synthesizer. My idea is to re-score the film with New Wave music from that era (1980 - 1982) and also do some sound effect work for the aliens. I did the first five minutes, any feedback (especially on how to isolate dialogue) is very welcome!

Have never seen the film (and have no idea on how to isolate dialogue) - though your ‘first 5 minute’ Re-edit certainly has a pretty decent 80’s vibe and feel to it - nicely done.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…
