Well, here is a continuation for my WIP for the first of the 3 covers I’m working on (A Modernized callback to the CBS/FOX covers):

And here it is with an added “blanket tint,” adding an “aged” look to it:
https://i.imgur.com/nDnC2k1.jpg

It’s not finished yet. It’s still a WIP, and I still have the other two to complete.

I like it. I might even use it.

Question: What kind of paper do you guys use for best results? Normal paper doesn’t result in much contrast.

I’ve been trying to figure that out myself. So far I’ve only used regular 11 x 8.5 printer paper. I want to know the kind of paper used as a standard for official blu ray inserts (whether it’s for a regular case or a criterion)

You’ll have to post the individual covers - rather than the gallery picture link - for the images to appear on here.

Cool covers by the way - nicely done 😃

Really like this quality 3-in-1 Despecialized Cover, here:-

Heres my first attempt at covers. These are Criterion-sized, credit for the backsides goes to the very talented Ronwlim.

Well Here’s a link to the album until I figure out why the image won’t embed.

I like your prequel logos, especially TPM. I was never entirely satisfied with how mine came out. And your take on the “middle” of the AOTC logo is interesting.

Thanks! Ive been tinkering with them for a while now. AOTC certainly still needs some work, if you have any suggestions I’m all ears.

Your ROTS logo looks more Stranger Things than Star Wars. But good work regardless!

I just recreated the official one that was only used rarely on some toys. It’s on my BR cover:

Well in Kylon1138 😃

Who made these? They look incredible! Is there any way they can create a different version of the cover for A New Hope to something a little more accurate to the film?

May well be worth asking ‘Kylon1138’ on reddit mate (unfortunately he’s not a member on here) if he’d be interested in doing something like that? 'Tis a cool collection of covers 😃

The talented Mark69 has some fine disc art here, as part of his Despsecialized Edition Box Set thread:-

He’s also came up with some great looking Bonus / Documentary Discs for each too 😃

Here’s a long post of my Star Wars covers, that I finished within the last month. All are remakes of official covers from yesteryears.

First of, we’ve got the original VHS releases:

Then there’s the 1995 Domestic VHS release:

And the corresponding 1995 International VHS release:

Now we’ve got the 1997 Special Edition VHS in widescreen:

And of course, the corresponding fullscreen release:

And last, but not least, we’ve got remakes of the DVD covers.

I also made matching artwork of the Disney movies for the last set of covers - they are coming soon!

Here are the official AOTC and ROTS logos:

TPM never had one without the E1 on it, this is a revisionist used in some toys these days:

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

Yep, those TPM/AOTC/ROTS ones are what I based mine on. Well, the ROTS one I used is that official one, and the AOTC one is as close as I can replicate it (I’ve never found it in high quality), but I made a TPM one based on that with a Star Wars “square” around it like on the ROTS logo.

There’s a TFA one that’s similar to the TPM one used for some toys - different font though, Trajan I think (used for the “EPISODE ##” in the prequel logos, but not the title itself, which I think was Albertus, as used on that action figure TPM logo). Here it is:

Same for TLJ:

And best quality of the AOTC logo from the same toy line (though it isn’t exactly the same as the other more “polished” looking one with the “Star Wars” logo outline like ESB):

Oh, and those covers all look fantastic, Falle! You’ve saved me the effort of doing the early-90s VHS covers in BR size! 😄

Here’s a thing I was working on. I didn’t know what to put on the back, and those stripes look like shit, but I like what I was going for.

EDIT: Looked back through the last few pages and it looks like what I was going for was already done much better by GE Predator than I could ever have.

Here’s some '95 International style BluRay covers. I’ve tried to make them as generic as possible, so they can be used for whatever version of the unaltered original trilogy you may have. Having said that, I believe these covers should fit the standard 12mm spine cases, as opposed to the 14mm cases used in some countries e.g. Australia. If anyone wants me to modify them for the wider spine or to add some classification markings, just let me know.

Yeah, Calculon, those are really nice! And I’m not usually a fan of the 95 international VHS style art.

Great username, by the way. 😃

Thanks. They’re moreso based on the Laserdisc layout than the VHS, which I think looks nicer and is less cramped.

Huh. Didn’t realize how closely the Faces covers followed the John Alvin covers, at least the VHS covers; the Laserdisc covers have WAY too much text for a BluRay size cover. So, with a few a modifications, and without further ado, here’s my take on the '95 Faces covers.

^ very well done mate. Love the rearrangement of images for the back covers and the long vertical image on each of the left sides too - they look great.
