When I told him about Han’s shirt in carbonite being fixed, this is what he said:

"Who cares about his stupid shirt?! How deranged do you have to be to care about or even notice that? Little girls are having their clitorises ripped off by religious zealots, and some nerd wants to fix Han Solo’s shirt?! There are VASTLY more important things in the world than this stupid nonsense. These nerds aren’t even creating art. They’re just saying to REAL artists, “Your stuff wasn’t good enough. Here, I’ll fix it.”

Tell that person that what they said is colossally stupid.

I don’t want to sound mean Editroid, but why are you sharing this? It’s something purely negative that’s only going to generate hate.

I just wanted some opinions of what they thought. I shouldn’t have posted something like that.

Your friend capitalised his speech? A neat trick.

Did you tell your friend that you spend the majority of your time on a site continually asking questions, in often an acerbic manner, of a person who gives up considerable time, effort, and money on something out of his love, respect and appreciation for it?

What did your friend say to this?

Hopefully the pair of you are on your way to right the world’s wrongs. If you put half the effort into questioning the authorities & politicians why they don’t do more in combating religious zealots to protect little girls, as you do to Adywan, I am fairly certain they’ll take some sort of action.

Have some time off from here to help focus these efforts.

When you come back I hope you have a more worldly & compassionate view - and will understand that repeatedly harassing and denigrating others isn’t on (even after being warned not to do so).

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

Hi, I just wanted to say I love the Revisited project and am highly grateful to Adywan for his efforts.

Also, I believe I found an error in ESB: Revisited. Someone please relay this to Adywan so he may change it in future releases. During the scene where the Millenium Falcon escapes the empire by floating away with the garbage there is a bad/choppy music cut out when the scene switches to Boba Fett following them in the cockpit of his ship. In the Despecialized edition the music flows smooth as butter.

My only small criticism of the edit is when Obi-Wan appears to Luke as a force ghost, I kind of prefer it without the aura around him. I think the effect is a little distracting and feels out of place. It’s more haunting to me without it.

If Adywan happens to see this I’d like to ask him if he’d ever consider uploading the lossless (or near lossless) mkv to the internet so that people can download it and then convert it to whatever file size they want using Handbrake or some other type of software. I feel like this would be a good way to get lots of custom sized versions floating around the internet. People who are eagerly waiting for the BD-25 version would be pacified by this while they wait for you to release the full Blu-Ray with menus.

Thanks Adywan!

So, I believe in the ESB:R credits, Ben Burtt’s name is written “Benn Burtt”. Is that another person or is it a mistake?

Edit: in the “Special Edition” part, it says “Ben Burtt”.

Hi guys. Is this still only available in the 720p mkv? I’m having an issue getting it to play on a blu ray disc. I mux to blu ray folder and no errors occur. Burn to disc with imgburn and It also says successful bdvideo created. But two discs now won’t play on my pc or player. Don’t want anymore coasters. Anyone have an idea or am I missing something obvious.

yes, only the mkv is available, and i don’t think it’s blu-ray compatible.

Correct. It doesn’t have letterboxing baked in, so the picture dimensions aren’t a standard 1280x720, which is required for a 720p BD.

Ok is it relatively easy to put in those letterbox bars? To get to the correct aspect ratio? What program will I need?

Edit. Never mind figured it out thank you.

You’ll need to reencode the video to add them, which will lose a bit of quality. If you’re gonna do that, you should look into what other settings you’ll need for Blu-Ray compatibility (maximum bitrates, etc).

Fun little thing, I work part time at my local movie theater, and we do weekly after hours movie showings for staff only and I recently asked my manager if we could show ESB:R and he said that we could sometime in the near future. I’m quite excited at the possibility of watching Revisited on the big screen!

I hope to update you all about what people’s reactions are once it happens.

The NTSC DVD-5 “Barebones Edition” of ESB:R is now available. Links can be found via the latest post on the facebook revisited page.

For those wanting the Blu-Ray edition, then i’m afraid you are not going to be happy. You are going to have to wait a lot longer…

Creating the disc structure, all the special features etc takes a lot of time. So i have decided to go about it a different way. Instead of spending time that could be spent on working on ANH:R & ROTJ:R, i will now be creating and releasing all 3 Blu-Ray versions of the films AFTER i have completed the saga.

This way i can have a 3 disc saga and then just one special Features disc that will feature a longer behind the scenes feature on all 3 films in the Revisited saga, plus all the extra special features that go along with it.

Therefore i can have each disc concentrating on the film only, which will maximise the video bitrate that would otherwise be taken up by the extras, resulting in higher quality BD-25.

I know this is probably not what you wanted to hear, but it is the most sensible way of going around this.

don’t worry ady. perfectly understandable. looking forward to your new Star Wars and RotJ versions.

That’s totally fine by me, then I can use one 4 disc blu-ray case for the whole trilogy. And I’m sure someone will come up with the box art and disc covers to make it all look official.

Yeah I get why this decision has been taken, and I’m fine with it. But in the meantime wasn’t it possible to just release an uncompressed mkv version with no time-consuming bluray structure ? Since I’m using a kodi system and that I don’t possess a bluray burner, I never burn bluray structures on discs anyway 😄

Same here. I completely get why you made the decision Ady but maybe just a high bitrate mkv would be a great release to hold onto until the 4 disc blu ray set.

Another vote here for a high-bitrate mkv. I don’t need menus, special features or anything else other than the movie itself. Would be great to play the highest quality of ESB:R possible through my Nvidia Shield and I’m guessing more people here would prefer that over the blu-ray structure anyway. Just a suggestion.

I would welcome the high bitrate MKV also, since I’m very eagerly awaiting the chance to watch the film in full DTS-HD!

When possible, getting a copy of this up on MySpleen would be appreciated.

Isn’t an MKV how this was released in the first place?
