I’ve found simply limiting overall calorie intake works better than ‘intermittent fasting’ and other fads. Go figure.

I’ve been doing intermittent fasting intermittently for quite awhile now (mostly out of laziness/cheapness), but I haven’t lost any weight, although I’m not necessarily trying to or even need to in the first place. I will say it’s remarkable how little hunger you feel once you get used to it. There are some days I have to remind myself to eat at all. Let’s be honest, it’s probably not healthy (though everywhere I’ve read says it is).

People in the olden times did it all the time and many of them lived to be at least 30 or 40! I do it too though. Mostly for various reasons related to irresponsible alcohol consumption.

I do that too, not consciously. Sometimes I forget to eat until I nearly pass out from the low blood pressure. That’s not too healthy, but neither is the food I eat. I suppose it balances out and I’m not fat at all.

I didn’t start doing it on purpose. I always wake up at the last minute so no chance to eat breakfast. Then the food at work is too expensive and I’m too lazy to bring my own. I will say though I’ve never passed out or even come close to. I really need to eat food that’s a lot healthier too.

I definitely have some fat on me but only really enough that it’s noticeable to me. I once lost 30 pounds in three or so months (just by better managing my calorie intake and cutting out certain foods) and pretty much no one noticed.

I’m more curious to know what Dom and I will do to get our bans. Assuming my theory is correct, which I assume it is.

Do you know what the sad part is, Mrebo? I’m a very good tailor.

I think the analogy would work better if you were an exiled mod from theforce.net.

^ Indeed it would mate, though I felt TFn to be just too insidious for my plain simple tastes. Just felt like showcasing my handiwork with needle & thread. Oh, an obsidian seam ripper too - and assorted pin cushions with some delightfully rare and exotic aromas 😉

(Seriously, am a dab hand at fixing clothes - playing a lot of sport and getting into mischief as a kid (it was the 70’s/80’s) - coupled with not having a lot of clothes… results in becoming quite proficient at patching and fixing them up)

I wish twitter would be more specific about whether a suspicious login was actually successful or not. I’m going to be all paranoid about that for a while.
And yes, I’ve just changed my password.

I make all my passwords super-hard gobbledygook that only my password manager can remember.

I use a system my Dad taught me. It’s disconcerting that this suspicious login was about fifty miles away. Not like I’m a super blogger or anything with an army of followers, so it’s curious my account would even be targeted.

Funny thing is, I logged in once or twice while traveling last January, and didn’t get any such notifications.

I’m a bit uncomfortable addressing a superior by their first name. So many of them want me to now, but… they aren’t my friend.

I used to really be uneasy with this too. I’m getting more comfortable with it though. A combination of getting used to it, and also me moving up a little while the level of my superiors hasn’t changed.

That’s so interesting to me, you’re talking about in a professional setting right? I’ve never had a job in my life where I didn’t refer to my boss by their first name.
