He said no FX work yet, just color correction. That sort of isolated-area color replacement falls more under FX work.

Nice! Are you working through that chronologically? I know you generally do colour grading then FX but do you do the colour for the whole movie first or just scene by scene?

It never fails to amaze me just how utterly terrible the blu-ray looks. Great work as always Ady!

I wish I could be part of it, but I am in in the US!

BTW the color looks great to me!

Superb work on the colour grading. It looks about a thousand times better than the blu-ray.

At last, my antiquated flat screen bit the dust this week and I was finally free to purchase a new 4K Television. First thing I did was use DVDFab to up-convert Star Wars:Revisited and Empire Strikes Back: Revisited to 4K. I don’t know how much difference that actually made, but both movies look gorgeous on the 65’ screen. The one thing that stood out most to me on this television were the detailed reflections off C-3P0’s gold plating that I’d never noticed before.

Pardon me if I missed this discussion (I haven’t had time to read the entire thread yet) but for the cargo shuttle replacement is Ady using the Zeta-class cargo shuttle from Rogue One or the Sentinel-class shuttle from A New Hope Special edition? Just curious. Overly curious. But I can wait.

Ady, I am sure you get overwhelming amounts of offers like this, but if your team hasn’t shot in California and you need any help, of any sort, please let me know. I offer my services and time and whatever I can to this project!

Ady has mentioned making it an all-new cargo shuttle of his own design. My personal opinion is to make it a Sentinel since it already shares the cockpit of the Lambda, which was on-set.

I’d be interested in seeing Ady’s idea for a brand new design, but if he wasn’t able to make that work for some reason, I’d also go with the Sentinel. Not only for the reasons you mentioned, 005, but it’d also be appropriate since that design was introduced in the Special Edition, and Revisited’s tagline is “What the Special Editions Should Have Been”. Changing the Tydirium to a Sentinel-class would have made since as a change even back then.

I came up with that tagline, so I wouldn’t use that as a guide Adywan is following.

Oh okay, thanks for the insight! Well either way, I’m behind whatever he decides on. These are his edits so I want him to do whatever is more enjoyable for him. Designing a new shuttle sounds like it could be a fun project, so if he goes with that I’ll also be excited to see it.

It will be a cross between the Tydirium and the Zeta class.

Introducing Blue Squadron: our ROTJ:R B-Wing pilots.

I thought there would be just one or two new pilots-this is getting interesting.

Most intriguing… B-Wing pilots, eh? Nice one 😃

I and a lot of others would be interested in having some of the pilots be alien species. Also for some of the ground troops as well. I think this would make the Battle of Endor feel like the entire galaxy as a whole has come together in order to fight the Empire.

Good, practical, Alien effects are extremely hard/expensive to pull off. I’m fine with human pilots.
