I missed out on TMNT. I never understood the appeal, but I knew a few kids who loved them. I’m surprised it’s still a thing. That and Power Rangers.

Never underestimate the allure of bright, bold colours to young children.

Pretty much same.
I have never seen any of the reboots, but I loved the original series. I have recently re-watched it, and I still loved the first season / mini-series, but the show got dumber each season. I never watched Power Rangers, I tried but it was way too stupid. Maybe I was too old for it at the time it arrived here, I don’t know.
I really liked The Big Bang Theory. It was VERY funny!
I LOVED LazyTown when I was a little kid, it was one of my favorite shows! I grew out of it though. When I was even younger, The Twisted Whiskers Show aired all the time! But not anymore 😦 Peppa Pig I watched…but didn’t really love. I’m not really into shows on Nickelodeon like Adventure Time, Gumball and The regular show or any of the live action ones like Kid Danger.
When’s something gonna happen?
Do you guys even know there was a TNMT comic where it all started? Much more gritty than the cartoon.
Where were you in '77?

The Big Bang Theory I could never get into. I guess I just didn’t like the characters, or that overbearing endless laugh track.
LazyTown I watched as a small child, I never really liked that one either. Just weirded out by it I guess.
Peppa Pig was one I enjoyed as a kid, but looking back now it was really terrible.
Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball are two that my brother really got into, but I never really loved them, or watched them that regularly.
Regular Show is another that my brother got into, and unlike the other two, I really love this show. Great characters and excellent humour, in my opinion.
Not enough people read the EU.
Hahaha, we watched LazyTown with our daughters when they were younger. It’s super weird, and you can do a lot worse for something to watch with your young kids. Peppa Pig is pretty good too.

Those are cartoon network.

Yeah the turtles do drugs lol

I don’t recall that in the original run.

I might have that wrong. I could have sworn I remembered reading that but now I can’t find anything to substantiate that. I do think the foot clan smuggled drugs though
You guys got any TV Shows you love that don’t air anymore? Twisted Whiskers I really liked and it does not air anymore. It shouldn’t be forgotten. Quite an underrated show.

Peppa Pig is pretty good too.

Also known as Mr. Liquid Jungle.

I still want to check that out some time.

It’s better than most of the things you seem to like.
My favourite show as a kid was Ben 10, but I watched an episode not long back and found I didn’t actually enjoy it very much, a sad realisation.
I rewatched it with my brother many years ago, and I still loved it. My brother, meanwhile, ditched me after Alien Force. Honestly, it’s kinda remarkable he stuck around that long. Anyway, I tend to prefer shows aimed at kids anyway, so my still enjoying it makes sense. I didn’t make it through Omniverse, and wished I had stopped after the sense of closure from the finale of Ultimate Alien. Omniverse was just too silly, or dare I say flat-out childish to my liking.
My all-time favorite show is The Prisoner. SciFi Channel showed it Sunday nights in their early days on the air. I’d never seen anything like it and was hooked instantly. They also used to do a marathon during a certain holiday (I can’t remember which one) and I looked forward to it all year.
Big Finish has done audios for The Prisoner, btw. You might wanna check those out.
I haven’t sat down and watched a solid two hour block of shows in a long time. I like those first three shows a lot but all through Netflix. I’ve never seen an episode of Community.
Oh man, do yourself a favor and check out Community. It’s on Hulu currently.
The first three seasons are gold, season 4 (when the showrunner got fired) is generally considered poor but isn’t that awful, and seasons 5 and 6 (when the showrunner was rehired and then when the show moved from NBC to Yahoo Screen) are divisive for some, but I liked them a lot.
How’d that happen? Why was he fired, then rehired?

Fired because he’s kind of an asshole, had multiple conflicts with Chevy Chase, and has problems with deadlines to the point where episodes were regularly being filmed without 100% completed scripts. (Any Rick and Morty fan will understand Dan Harmon’s problems getting shit written in a timely manner, and Community was a broadcast network show, not cable.)
Rehired because on the whole he’s a great writer and the show was more personal than I think most people realized at the time and suffered quite a bit from his absence (it’s been said that there wasn’t a single page of any script by any writer on the show written while he was in charge that he didn’t personally revise). More importantly, the fans heavily campaigned for his return, some of the cast (Joel McHale in particular) threatened to walk if he wasn’t brought back, and Chevy Chase had already decided to leave anyway before anyone seriously considered bringing Dan back.
A lot of that is a simplification, but it’s the gist of it.
O, that show was made by the same guy behind Rick and Morty?

Is it because you have a problem with Rick and Morty, or the Rick and Morty fanbase? Because Community is a vastly different show from Rick and Morty.
