The ability to create polls and the ignore feature.

I have been wanting the ability to create polls Is this feature by any chance in the works?

What about the ignore function? I would like to see that returned. Any chance of that happening?

It would be nice if Jay or the mods would comment here.

It’s not something the mods have any control over.

I believe so - it’s either being considered by Jay - or is on his list of things to do.

Re an ‘ignore’ feature? I don’t know for sure - yet don’t think it’s being considered. Personally, I hope not, anyway.

There is always the option to scroll past posts from members you may not wish to view.

I never really understood the ignore feature anyway. You still had to scroll past the posts, you just didn’t see the actual text. Functionally it’s basically the same.

JEDIT: The “who is ignoring you” thread was fun though, so if the ignore feature is brought back, I really hope we can see a list of who is ignoring us again.

Oh well.

The ignore function would work better for me than just trying to scroll past posts.

You must unlearn what you have learned.

I’m bumping this cause I really think we need the ignore feature.

Can we have the Poll function first - and then vote using it to decide whether to implement the Ignore function? 😉

I think this is the way to go for sure.

I don’t believe you! It’s another trick!

I don’t like the ignore feature. It’s quite immature to “delete” people you don’t agree with on a forum. And sometimes they can post interesting stuff, so I would vote against.

Anyone that does like the ignore feature can just not use it.

A forum is a community, so I don’t agree with à la carte features that can generate even more aggressivity than we already witness every two posts around here. I get your point though. I just know by experience that such a feature doesn’t work the way you believe it would to prevent this constant aggressive behavior of a few OT.com members.
