A galaxy far, far away needs your help. In teams of four, be transported with family and friends in a brand new hyper-reality experience from Lucasfilm, ILMxLAB and The VOID.

Under the orders of the budding rebellion, your team will travel to the molten planet of Mustafar. Your mission is to recover Imperial intelligence vital to the rebellion’s survival. Alongside the pragmatic droid K-2S0, your team must navigate through an enemy facility walking into danger at every turn. Disguised as stormtroopers, grab your blaster, solve puzzles, and fight giant lava monsters in an effort to fulfill your team’s orders.

Pushing the boundaries of location-based virtual reality, The VOID and ILMxLAB bring the Star Wars universe to life through a multi-sensory, untethered story.

The VOID is a full sensory, immersive experience, with you, your friends and family walking around inside the action. It’s location-based entertainment – that means you visit one of our locations – and you walk into real-time hyper-reality that combines interactive sets, real-time effects and amazing technology.

This opens on December 16th at Disney Springs in Orlando and January 5th at Downtown Disney in Anaheim. I’ve already got tickets. Anyone else going to give it a try?

You can purchase tickets at https://www.thevoid.com/

When you buy tickets, you reserve an exact time so no huge lines. It says to arrive at least 10 minutes early and plan on the experience lasting about 30 minutes. I can’t wait. This sounds awesome!

I’ve been itching to go to this since they opened near me. Hopefully sometime this summer.

I’ve done it! It’s really well done and a ton of fun. It is really short. Do it with some friends and you’ll have a blast. I’m not going to spoil anything but it was very exciting!

After being beaten and battered by prequel hate, I promise not to be that to the next generation.

Looks a good laugh & a lot of fun too - plus it’s coming to the UK soon too…

I’ve been thinking about making a trip out to Vegas just to do this.

UPDATE:
I made the trip to Vegas.

I’ve experimented with VR a few times now and this was above and beyond the most immersive experience I’ve ever had in a virtual setting. When traversing on a moving platform you feel like you could lose your balance and tumble into the lava below. The heat from which you can feel wash over you when you’re outside on Mustafar. Should a stray blaster bolt find its mark you can feel its impact on your body. Every wall, seat and interface is real and can be interacted with. The tie-in elements from Rogue One were great. Would definitely do it again and now I’m hyped that after just coming back from my trip they announced Vader Immortal which looks like it ties into the story from Secrets. What perfect timing! My only regret is that I didn’t also do the Ghostbusters experience while I was there as well.

The bump reminds me to mention I did this with some friends back in November. Shit’s insane. Highly recommended.

Yep! Did it twice in London.

It’s short, but absolutely outstanding.

Just did this down in Orlando. Only complaint was I wish it was longer. Everything else was beyond my expectations.
