Now, I have to come up with another signature because Lucas went in a completely unexpected direction for Ep. III. I can’t believe that Jar-Jar didn’t take over the galaxy. He set up the cleverness and evilness of the character perfectly in Episodes I and II.

Oh, well…

Keep your sig. You *are* aware that he plans to re-edit these films in the future, right? He just didn't have sufficient technology to make Jar-Jar's conquest believable, so he made Palpatine the bad guy at the last second.
