Man, I love seeing all these covers that have been created – really fantastic work all around!

Does anyone happen to have a link to this set of covers made by Video Collector that they’d be willing to send me?

I tried PM’ing him a while ago, so far no dice.
Oh, and if you happen to have the Despecialized variants he made for the OT, that’d be a bonus!

Hello, Does anyone have a link to this set of covers? (Created by Video Collector)

I love these covers. Is there any chance of getting them at all?

Okay, so I wasn’t completely done with Star Wars after all 😃

These are inspired by the mock-up covers that were used as placeholders on Amazon etc. when the Blu-rays were just announced.

I thought they looked okay and found it a pity they weren’t used, so I just made some myself. I tried soooo hard to make a cover with a simple background colour, but in the end I just couldn’t resist adding some texture to it. I’m a slave to textures 😃

This is as simple a cover as I’m ever likely to make. I didn’t even sign them.

They’ll fit a regular 3-disc case, so anyone who wants them can PM me for High Rez files.

Tyler0013, nice work on those new covers!

Dean1700, have you tried PM’ing Video Collector for copies of those leatherbound designs?

Personally, as a member here, I’d encourage everyone to watch it and upvote that video.

Took a stab at making a set of Blu-ray slipcovers for all eight saga films. I decided to use the sequel trilogy title aesthetic (Serif Gothic) to have a consistent look on the spines, while using the original title treatments and teaser poster artwork on the cover. I haven’t gotten around to designing a back cover yet, but here’s what I’ve got so far:

Star Wars Blu-ray

Empire Blu-ray

Jedi Blu-ray

Phantom Menace Blu-ray

Clones Blu-ray

Sith Blu-ray

Force Awakens Blu-ray

Last Jedi Blu-ray

Blu-ray Spines

WIP of the front at a slipcover (or possibly digipak cover) for the OT. The Back will have the Empire’s symbol

I like the flow of lines in your design, but it seems a little odd to have a picture of Vader with a Rebel Logo over his face.

Wonder if there is another way you could use the Rebel logo, either by putting it on the back with the Empire logo, or perhaps bringing it down a bit and include both on the front?

Two questions:

  1. What kind of paper is used for official blu ray covers?

  2. Does anyone have a Criterion Blu Ray case template?

Anybody got some good german covers of ANH “Krieg der Sterne”, ESB “Das Imperium schlägt zurück” and ROTJ “Rückkehr der Jedi-Ritter”?

I’d much prefer the original theatrical posters and fonts as a cover and spine with maybe just the plot and some harmy info on the back, but I’ll look into anything suggested. 😃

Also: Especially leaflets in german would be AMAZING!

I know this is mainly an english speaking board, but I’ve noticed some german users anyway.
Thanks in advance for the help!

I haven’t ever found a good template for a criterion Blu Ray cover, but what I have done is downloaded some criterion style covers that other people have made and used that as a template for designing my own. Hope that helps! 😃

Well, I need to to know the exact size for the height and width of the inserts (along with the spine width & height), in case I want to print them on an 11x8.5 sheet of paper.

Okay, so I decide to create a cover set for the Original Trilogy in the style of the CBS/FOX tapes (the set I had when i was very young), but with a modern take to fit the format (also for the Criterion-sized cases). Here is a “WORK-IN-PROGRESS” for STAR WARS:

set

Update on my WIP for STAR WARS:

set

The synopsis on the back might be a stand in for the original text (similar to the tape). I don’t know yet The original synopsis seems out of date. Then again, the text you see on the picture is from the THX set.

Are there any alt covers for the Hal9000 edits of the prequel trilogy? Looking to get cases to stick my dvd copies in. Sorry if this is not the place to ask.

Thank you! I have matching BR covers for all the official versions as well. They’re heavily based on stolen from phildesfr’s work, mind you, so I can’t take full credit for them!

Doesn’t seem so redundant when you consider how many different color regrades of the actual films there are floating about. 😉

Well, here is a continuation for my WIP for the first of the 3 covers I’m working on (A Modernized callback to the CBS/FOX covers):

And here it is with an added “blanket tint,” adding an “aged” look to it:

It’s not finished yet. It’s still a WIP, and I still have the other two to complete.

I like it. I might even use it.

Question: What kind of paper do you guys use for best results? Normal paper doesn’t result in much contrast.
