Because it’s a video?

I thought he was saying you’d hate it because it’s a video of a slideshow.

Ok.

I wasn’t saying you did. I was saying that’s what I thought he was posting it for. I’m not sure why you would be bothered by a dog who supposedly acts like a cat.

Maybe because a self-respecting dog wouldn’t do that.

I wouldn’t classify dogs as having self-respect when they publicly lick their own junk.

Speak for yourself!

Yeah, we like to say that dogs do their taxes in public.

Who are you kidding, if you could do it you wouldn’t be able to wait until you got home either.

So why would you hate it then?

Why don’t you do another armchair diagnosis?

No. Bitter, are we?

lol, see.

but no, really, i just don’t know why you choose to return in this way. Meaning, you dug out a several day old post about a nonsense topic and started asking about it. I assume you had a reason other than antagonizing?

Because it was on the previous page? Because not everyone reads everything everyone says on a forum as soon as they are posted? Because this is the Random Thoughts thread?

Take your pick.

Maybe when you’re quoting old posts and asking questions of people, then you should read back to the start of the topic you’re actually posting about.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

A single thread page and only 3 days previous does not constitute “old”.

Also “the start if the topic”? Do you mean the thread OP; or the beginning of that string of conversation? Because Random Thoughts are random, and not only was DE’s comment the beginning of that conversational string, but also Frink (seemingly) didn’t/doesn’t understand either. So in either case of what you meant, reading back through is irrelevant.

In the context of it being ‘old’ as in it is not a current discussion. And, yes a 3 day old post would constitute an old post (for me, anyway).

Also yes, the start of the topic does mean ‘the beginning of that string of conversation’, as you put it.

No, it’s not irrelevant - it’s good practice for posting on a forum in general, yes?

No, it’s not irrelevant - it’s good practice for posting on a forum in general, yes?

So you’re saying that if I visit the forum regularly but don’t read a particular thread for a few days, and the topic of conversation since last viewing doesn’t span more than a couple pages at best, I am still not eligible to remark on something someone said?

It’s not like the topic in question has been discussed into the ground and the relevant questions had already been covered (perhaps even more than once). And it’s not like the post was pages and pages (or ages and ages) ago. It was literally Tuesday. Today is Friday of the same week. Also, I have heard many a person in real life bring up a topic of conversation that they long since had heard about but didn’t get around to mentioning until then. People revisit dated topics all the time in real life, so why on earth can’t we do it here?

And I don’t consider the combination of a single thread page and a time within the same work week as old.

…Also, DE was already asked the question within a time reasonable to you but didn’t answer; and Frink responded directly to the question when I asked it. I would think the question of it being “old” would be more to the prerogative of those to whom the post was made. So even if you thought it was old, that doesn’t mean DE does.
