I am not asking for a link or anything.... I simply want to know if there is a full screener (not camcorder) out there without the timestamp.

Yes. according to vcdquality there's even a dvdrip. Haven't seen it myself though.

Sorry but this isn't the right place for this type of post.

Yea, the DVD rip is fantastic.

This is not the best subject to put up here, but yes. I do know another site named after the ship that can make the Kessel run in 12 parsecs has it listed on their home page, hmm, I just noticed Zion actually listed the site name outright...so...

Let me take this opportunity again to implore to anyone who wants to see this movie, go buy a ticket and watch it. Even if you complain about how bad the quality is at a movie theater and would rather watch this d/l at home instead, then go buy the ticket and then come back home and watch the film.

well, I've already gone 3 times to the theatre and watched the timestamp version once, so I don't feel bad about my original post. It's just... general discussion, right??

As long as you keep it verrrry general. We like our little forum here.

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

And for that matter, if anybody complains about the quality at the theatre, make a point of going to a DLP theatre. The one I saw in Daytona was the best cinematic experience I've had since seeing The Empire Strikes Back on opening day.

If someone had a DVD rip, why did they [only] make a 640x288 XviD out of it? You would have thought they would have posted the entire DVD as a torrent somewhere [as well]. The 3 disc PAL SVCD with the Russian opening crawl that is floating around is much better quality than any 700x2 XviD. Also, what is up with 640x288? 640x272 is correct for a 2.35:1 movie. It is good that it has AC3 audio though which usually means it was left untouched from the DVD (the 192 kbs stereo stream in this case). The same can't be said for the SVCD's of course.

Good point. However, I saw it on both and I wouldn't make the trip again to see it DLP. There wasn't that much of a difference if the projectionist knows what he is doing.

My point is, this is the last Star Wars film. It's alittle disheartening for me to see that the day this DVD internal hits the net, the numbers for ROTS start taking a bigger hit. I mean, if you hate George Lucas and think he's already rich enough, fine. But just don't see the movie then. It's not like these are fan edits and you already own the originals.

Ah well, we could go round and round about this thing AGAIN and we will all still feel the same way we do.

At least see it as many times in the theater as possible, and when it gets rotated out to make way for new releases, then, maybe it would be okay to download a *ahem* alternate copy.

Why should one go more than one time to see this flick in the theatre? A ticket costs about 6€, than you pay about 6 more € for a coke and some popcorn. You already spent 12€, and you gonna spend about 24€ for the damn dvd. I don't think the movie industry will go bankrupt on this...

Rikter, I've seen this before. According to a friend of mine, this is a bootleg made in Russia.
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

This is the BEST version so far - English Title Crawl, No burned in subs (selectable english), NTSC, VERY VERY clear picture (IMHO it's better then the Russian XVID) and it has very nice audio that has great sound including rear audio fades.

I'm wondering this as well. What gives with the 640x288 resolution? I'm also wondering (please keep in mind I'm a newbie at all this but have ripped and burned movies using DVD Shrink and Decrypter) why release it in Xvid? Don't you normally burn DVDs in VOB format?

Rikter - not asking for a link - BUT - would that full english version with menus be available on torrents anywhere?
