Is this the video doing the rounds with Johnny Cashās version of Hurt playing in the background? With selective and differing interviews edited together out of context - along with some classic OT footage - in a bid to portray Mark Hammill as against the new films?

Funny enough, Iāve seen that YouTube video is my suggestion box for the past week or so, so I automatically didnāt read it as a āMark Hamil injuredā way.
Still, I donāt have to watch it to guess what some enraged fanboy did. Lemme guess, someone pulled a series of Mark Hamil interview quotes out of context that make him look like he trashes Disneyās Star Wars?
Look, if you want to trash Disney here due to how itās handling Star Wars, thereās plenty aspects to attack here without painting Mark fucking Hamil as this āstick it to the man!!ā kind of person when itās not the case.
Disney giving SW gaming rights to EA has been terrible. Porgs is soulless marketing of toys that serve zero purpose in the film beyond that. The way Disney keeps pumping out SW films for years to come that keep staying close in the OT timeline (Rogue One, Han Solo, Kenobi) that further exploits our nostalgia instead of venturing away from it. Those are all arguably sound criticisms you can launch at Disney.
Plus, itās not like Lucas is some shining example of independent film making. Itās amazing we got what we got in the OT, but even Lucas himself refused to kill Han Solo off because of the fact that a ādead Han Soloā doesnāt sell merchandise. It only stings so much right now, understandably, because of how mega corporate Disney is. But for the love of god, these FAKE NEWS edited videos of Mark Hamil is just that, FAKE NEWS.
