It took me quite a while to figure out the red coloration was from an alarm flashing on and off. At first, I thought it was some failed attempt at recoloring the ship. It’s confusing, and I’d just remove it, given that it doesn’t really serve a purpose. Also, Dooku’s message is too short.

Ait, cheers for the feedback on the alarm guys. You see, the idea was to make the scenery stand out opposite some of the original elements - in which I think it succeeds to do. Problem is, you guys found it a little jarring. I’ll make it one slower flash instead of two with a SFX to match it, to make it a smoother, better-for-the-eyes experience.

And please shout out all ideas you can conjure - plausible ones or not does not matter. I have tools at my disposal and am always willing to try new things.

I am intrigued - many years of Prequel Fan Edits (some of them very well done) had left me jaded as to more - yet yours and Snooker’s coming Dawn Of War both have me looking forward to watching these.

I recently held a preview screening for my brother - third one this year (poor bastard), and besides some obvious got-to-do’s, we only found a few nitpicks. The edit has come a long way since the very first.

Okay I have a lot to say about this

1. Opening: really good until it gets to the weird montage about genocide(?) I really like how you edited it so that they barely make it past the blockade right at the start of the movie. Not sure how you’re going to handle getting off the planet since you’ve already used all the shots, though.

2. I’m going to go under the assumption you’re not trying to make the film more like the OT, and make it something else. That recoloring, though- off-putting imo, but that’s just me

3. I really like the music cue when Qui-Gon died

4. I really like that Amidala called the Federation right after her communications cut out. Might steal that in my edit, but I’m using Anti-Cheese for the Nemodians so maybe not

I have received a lot of positive feedback on the color grading, and the removal of the purple (horrible) grade on the movie, as well as the “kids movie-feel” in the very, very bright and shiny colors. I hope you’ll like the grade better upon your viewing.

Personally, I like the kid’s movie feel, and it makes it a little easier to forgive shortcomings, but I get that that’s not what you’re going for.

I see what you mean. I didn’t notice any purple grade on the movie, though- I’ll probably take that into consideration now once I work on my edit. Also, it sounded like you implied that there’s a full release out. Is there? I’d really like to see this thing in its entirity

It is not finished. I hope he’ll enjoy it once it is.

Also, one last thing. I like the recoloring in the “Fatherly Ties” scene, but BOY OH BOY, that dialogue, “Betting on races.” I’ts objectively worse than anything else said in the prequels. Yeah the virgin birth in the PT wasn’t handled well, but this is not how it should be fixed

I don’t want to be a dick, I think it’s just a really dumb sequence of dialogue

That’s not the word “objectively” should be used for. Your opinion is not a fact.

Besides, “Love won’t save you; only my new powers can do that.” is by far the worst thing said in any movie, not even just SW.
