One suggestion though. For the last 3 (of the classic artwork), is it possible to use the logos MeBeJedi posted on the top of your covers (instead of the logo's that are on there now)? I think that would look really nice if you could. I was also thinking for the spine of instead of putting the ANH just leave it as Star Wars like the original. Maybe even instead of the OOT you could put the year the movies were released and destinct them from that. I could be on the minority on the last couple things, but I'd love to see the original logos used in place of the ones you made on the top. Great job though, keep up the nice work.

I can try the logo thing(just need to get them in hi-res )
BTW, I tried to just put the year next to the title(like this "The Empire Strikes Back - 1980") but it didnt look as nice as I hoped

(Ooops, the ANH and ESB links don't work)

Yeah I like those a lot better with those logo's. Much better. Only one more suggestion and I'm not sure if you tried this or not. Instead of using the dark grey color for the color of the logo's, how about changing them to black or a very dark grey? I think that would really destinct that from the rest of the font. But I still like those much better then before, great job.

you can prob find the measurements for the cases online with a quick google search.

however, oojason should be more specific as to what 3/4 disc case he wants them for (especially since your being so nice and incorporating everyones suggestions). I say this mainly because you can get multi-disc cases that vary in sizes. ie 2 disc cases that are the same size as single disc cases or a 2 disc case that has the spine with of 2 'normal' cases. Ive even seen 2 disc cases that are the size of slim cases.

I've seen 4-disc cases on Meritline. Who'da thunk it?

yeah, ive seen them, scanavo http://www.scanavo.com/ actually makes some real nice multi disc cases. I like the 'overlap' design. they dont seem to sell through their site though.. but you can find some of thier cases on various sites (froogle search scanavo 4 disc overlap, or something like that for where to buy)

you can actually get 6 disc cases that are the size of a standard case (well at least they appear to be in the picture and description, i havent gotten any of them) someone here a while back ordered some of the 4 disc ones in the design im talking about and said they were only slightly bigger than a regular case.

Sorry Gundrosen - I should have been more precise m8.

I was thinking of a general Trilogy boxset cover for a 3-disc box, in the same style as above - which is the same size as a normal single disc box.

There was a really great guide with templates for the differing types and sizes of dvd boxes (+ discart and inserts) somwhere here on the ot.com, but I just can't find it anymore

*** edit *** - a decent cd/dvd template website is here, though sadly none for the larger 4disc box sets and larger:-

http://www.diskfaktory.com/dfshare/info/ArtworkTemplates.asp

Measurements for covers to fit a...

4-disc box set are - 281mm wide, 185mm high, with a spine width of 20mm - 3325 x 2188 pixels at 300dpi

6-disc box set are - 288mm wide, 185mm high, with a spine width of 27mm - 3402 x 2223 pixels at 300dpi

Those are killer, Gundrosen!
Just one suggestion: instead of labeling the LD rips as OOT, why not label them simply as OT and the dvd set as the SP (special edition)?

Just a tought.

You know you guys just give me so much inspiration, it must be illegal!

Go see my beta in the definitive covers thread (near the end) And tell me what you think!

Gundrosen - you've really raised bar with your complete set of covers, and with southp doing some hybrid MagnoliaFan covers too there'll be a fair few people with your inksaver sets on the shelves

Gundrosen, nice covers.

If i may interject my 2 cents... the plot descriptions on the back covers give away too much. I realize less than 1% of the populations has yet to see the OT, but someone may be actually watching them for the first time. The description on the back of Jedi basically gives away the first two thirds of the movie, and the back of empire reveals some major plot points and surprises.

I love the covers Gundrosen! I did notice that all of your covers say REGION 2 PAL, any chance of getting versions of your covers that say REGION 1 or ALL NTSC as southp's do? Other than that... just fantastic work! I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Hmm... did not know that, but that was the only decent hi-res pic I was able to find of boba fett.

@southp, like the front of your TPM cover, but there were too much text on the back, and the color of the text dont match the rest of the cover.
