Cool original cover there m8 - not often Owen, Beru, Jawas and the T14 (?) make the front of a dvd cover - and look that good.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

Papa Vader, I love your covers, and the "leather" looks nice.....but if I could make one small note:

I wouldn't put Owen's face in "front" of Luke's cape. It gives the appearance of disembodiment.

Perhaps you could move it to the right a little?

Put Tarkin and Kenobi in too.

Heck, he doesn't even have Leia and the droids.

Hello again!

Mebe, you seem to have me confused with Coov, who is the creator of the Leather set...

As for owen face, well it was there from the beginning:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y271/PapaVader/dorm105.jpg

As you can see Dave(?) Dorman did the original painting not me!
I could try and photoshop it thought!

As for the other charaters, I think they would clutter the picture a bit much...
I am tring to do something unique

But doing the covers with original posters is not out of the question, If i have any request...

Bye for now!

Oh, I was just teasing, and the full color pic looks very nice. It just looks like Owen's head is taking Luke for a walk.

Did this artist do pics for ESB and ROTJ as well?

Yes, Kinda. He does mostly works on covers for Dark Horse comics and a hell of a great many deal of the new starwars book, from what i could gather.
There would have been a better pic i would've use for my cover, but the hardest thing is finding high enough res scans...

This was my first choice, as i am doing an Empire theme for my first set...
This was my first choice

here are some other cool pics from www.davedorman.com

Okay so I made some new covers last night & just finished uploading them to Grisan's site. Perhaps there are those of you like myself that can't shake that 'inner VHS' within your soul...if so, these covers are for you.

Star Wars - VHS Classic Edition
Empire - VHS Classic Edition
Jedi - VHS Classic Edition

Excellent cover Papa Vader. I've always loved the work of Dave Dorman. That Vader coming out of the fire pic would make an excellent cover if done right. It's always been a favorite of mine. I can't wait to see the full cover and the ones for Empire and Jedi. The Vader could use a little work. It doesn't quite mesh with the rest of the image. Perhaps one more like the first version with him staring off in the opposite direction as Luke might work. I can't quite place my finger on it.

Impressive - any plans for a 'Clone War' and a 'Fall Of The Republic' cover too?

Looking at that Jango pic made me realize one thing that bugged me in the prequels but could'nt put my finger on...
Everything looks so shiny and new in CGI that it takes away from the realism of the movie. What happened to the "Used reality" of the OT? For crying out loud, even mud looks pristine in CGI...

Nice, but it does seem to highlight a bit character that has next to no screentime.
