I feel like what I need now is a story that really opens the lid on what happens to Solo in the after life.

Considering how little we know about the film, I don’t think we can reasonably say that it is an “origin” story.

More importantly, it’s common for a good story to show growth in its main character. If the film were to do that, I guess that would make it an “origin” story, in the sense that by the end he has become more like the Han Solo in the OT just by default, but I’d probably prefer that to a film where he’s just the exact same person as in the original film, especially considering he’s not the exact same person across the trilogy - to that end, is ANH not already a Han Solo origin movie?

Come on Dom, if you can tell everything about a movie from the trailer, and you can, you can certainly tell this.

I love Raiders of the Lost Ark above all films including any Star Wars movie. I find Temple of Doom and Crystal Skulls to both be much lesser films than the original. Yet they do not alter my opinion of Indiana Jones the character.

Love the 3 original Indiana Jones movies, much like I love the 3 original SW movies in their theatrical release. Crystal Skull does not exist in my mind, much like the PT used to not before I found barely watchable fan edits 😉

Serious question - do you just watch YouTube videos for all your information?

The amount of junk articles about star wars these days is staggering. Its all mindless click-bait crap squeezing every penny they can out of the same recycled 2 seconds of video, or three words of a tweet.

I’ll wait till the movie is out to form an opinion if it is good or not. But i will tell you that i have only about 5% excitement for this movie, but that has nothing to do with the ‘bad news’ about it, it has more to do with me having no interest. a good trailer could change that.

Clarification: Disney/LFL says they didn’t make it, which doesn’t necessarily mean it’s fake. It could be official product packaging from Hasbro or something like that.
