This is why i asked you to clearly state what you want to hash out here, because what you might think is the problem isn’t what everyone else might think is the problem. in fact we probably all have different opinions on the matter.

The only thing i remember is that you went nuts with the sighs, but i can’t imagine you want to talk about that. (and yes, thank you for no more sighs).

Look, there’s no doubt about it, TV’s Frink is one of my favorite posters here. He’s funny and witty and has a good heart.

There’s also no doubt about it that TV’s Frink can be a sarcastic, condescending jerk.

I say both of these comments as a friend. Were you, TV’s Frink, the one making all these sighs, I would probably get irritated at your juvenile behavior. Instead, who I see making these sighs, asking questions that could easily be googled, and thinking very concretely about concepts is Warbler.

Again, I say this as a friend, but Warbler struggles with abstract thinking and creates circular arguments. I can’t help but feel like there is something there that requires an extra level of patience. So I grant him extra patience and don’t engage in conversation the same way I would engage with you, Frink. I expect different understanding and don’t use sarcastic humor as much. I explain things more literally and end things when I feel it is unproductive.

There is a lot of latitude granted to you because of the joys you bring to this forum. Don’t condemn his behavior when your own record isn’t perfect. You both have your quirks and your great qualities. I appreciate you both for who you are, but I also expect different things from you because of who you are.

i just suggested you take it to the appropriate thread, and linked to a bunch of pointless threads as a sarcastic joke that there is no appropriate thread, but that the politics thread certainly didn’t need more of that posting. You seemed to mostly realize that already as you said in here earlier:

Technically you are correct. The advice was to take the conversation the appropriate thread. I did not see an appropriate thread, so I created one.

I sense that i am ticking you off, and i don’t mean to. but i honestly don’t know what you want to have discussed in this thread, and i am not going to go re-read a bunch of pages just to try to understand what your precise “problem that came up in the politics thread” is. You don’t want to do that [Clarify the purpose that is]. I have no idea if this is really just a thread for you to argue with Frink like some people are suggesting, or if there is something you want to discuss with a larger audience. I am just trying to give you a chance to clearly state what your problem is that you want to discuss, you didn’t want to, so i don’t get the point then.

Warbler you take this place way too seriously. People say you sighed too much. So just do it a bit less and move on maybe? No need to make a new thread analyzing and discussing it as a committee.

Well then, to be on-topic, I honestly lost track of what the whole problem was beyond the fact that Warb went into sigh overdrive and I went into sighscraper overdrive. Jason asked us both to stop and we both did. I’m not exactly sure what other problems came up in the politics thread.
