I don’t know what the problem is. My sig has been this exact same way for awhile. I haven’t altered it in multiple weeks. If it wasn’t a problem two weeks ago, if it wasn’t a problem last week, if it wasn’t a problem yesterday, why it is a problem now?

Likely I have noticed it when scrolling through this and the politics thread today - possibly because of the amount of posts with one lines, and also fewer other posters posting in there - and it seems the screen is half full of the signature every post.

For clarity - it’s not a ‘problem’, nor is it a ‘complaint’ - it is just a request to consider making the signature less substantial.

when I haven’t altered my sig in multiple weeks. If it looks any different than it did yesterday or a week ago, it is not my doing. Maybe Jay is playing around with the forum software or something.

Not everybody comments on things immediately when they see them. I already told you why I didn’t comment on your signature, which is also why I assume others didn’t. Just because people are commenting now doesn’t mean anything changed.

I was knocking this up as a better quality example / suggestion etc for you Warbler:-

and have seen you have totally removed your sig (which I hope you change your mind on, and also re-read the posts made about your signature as to what has actually been said to you) - as well as just having seeing Wook’s cool sig for you above too.

Then there is the closed loop, like in Harry Potter, which makes lots of sense, but allows for some paradoxes and negates free will. Also, alternate timelines can’t exist.

What paradoxes does it create?

Harry can cast the patronus because he saw himself casting a patronus. This breaks causality.

He saw himself doing it, and it gave him self confidence that he could do it. It is not that he can cast the patronus because he saw himself do it, it is that he can cast the patronus because he has the ability and knew he had the ability because he saw himself do it. I don’t see the problem.

What came first? His patronus or his confidence?

Having seen the patronus gave him confidence, but he needed confidence ni the first place to cast the patronus. These two things are causing each other. In the context of the story, that’s perfectly fine, but giving up causality like that would make this mode of time travel unsuited for Star Trek.
