Ship identification help

I’ve been looking at shirts and sweaters lately and found two I really dig. One is a Christmas sweater (not shown) and the other is this T-shirt. Both have a ship I don’t recognize, at least not as a silhouette. I’m assuming this is due to not having seen Empire or Return in a long time. No doubt, as prominent as it is on both shirts, the board will know right away.

What ship is this?

I’d say that is an A-Wing mate:-

^ really cool t-shirt by the way 😃

and the Christmas jumper looks to have a Space Invaders thing going no from that pic - 😄

Thanks! I figured it was well known. Yeah, the shirt is pretty much a given. It will be my first Star Wars shirt ever. I know - late to the party. 😉

Yes, it totally has a Space Invaders vibe. I’m digging it also. Our company has a Christmas sweater competition day every December, with prizes to the best and/or most garish sweater for each floor. I feel like I’ll be in the running. We have a few nerds in the office. One fellow has a Chewie figure that must be 12 to 18 inches high on his desk. Another guy in Engineering has a one-sheet on his wall. I figure I’ll get their votes for sure.

😃

Hope you do well in your sweater competition - and nice of your company to do things like this for it’s workers 😃

I think the A-Wings first appeared in ROTJ - though wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve been retroactively fitted into a later ‘Special Edition’ of Empire Strikes Back - or the animated tv series since etc.

This is my only ever SW t-shirt:-

I do have another Rogue One t-shirt - but it’s a little too big for me - so I’m waiting to grow into it as I age (eating more and exercising less 😉)

Did the ot.com ever do t-shirts and other merchandise? I remember years ago there was some talk of it? (though may be thinking of another site?)

Now I know why these types of charts were needed in WWII. 😉

The Rebellion and Empire must have something similar?

Dearest Silverwook,

I find the images you posted of graphics used by soldiers to distinguish between allied and axis aircraft to be quite interesting. Thank you for posting them.

Better, Frink?

That’s a great one. If I don’t get the sweater, I’ll go with two shirts. I’ve seen a couple that I like.

Cheers mate - I think the sweater is a winner - and could be the start of your own Christmas tradition type-thing 😃

a shame something like this isn’t available… (though not very Christmas-y 😉)

^ but in far better quality than a quick ms paint knock-up logo on top of t-shirt pic…

Nice idea. Make the numbers a bigger part of the design so it looks like one of those vague Last Exit shirts and you’ll have a winner.

a bit more something like this? (spacing of letting may need a little work etc)

Speaking of Star Wars shirts with a Space Invaders vibe, I recently added this little piece to my wardrobe:

Cheers mate (it’s not really a project though - I’m just messing around a couple of ideas in MS paint with a few spare minutes 😃)
