I use Vegas to create the video files and then architect for the menu structures.

I should also mention that there are now two versions of the edit. The “No Moe Intro” version implements Moe_Syzlack’s requests to totally remove Cassian and Bodhi from the beginning of the film.

I just read this thread and I am intrigued. I loved Rogue One a lot and I like most of the changes based on your list you have made. Like some others, my personal taste would be leaving the “ethical delima” and the “I’m blind scene” intact, but other than that, I look forward to watching it!

I just watched it and I liked it a lot. I originally enjoyed Rogue One very much and thought it was a great movie in theaters.

I like your decisions you made and was a bit reserved on the removing Cassians first scene. I thought it was necessary to have it for his character, but after watching it … it was not absolutely needed. Everything else I like very much … But I personally missed the “I’m blind” line, it wasn’t forced like a good bit of the easter eggs that were added.

Anyway, I enjoyed it, good job!

Thanks jarbear! I appreciate the feedback 😃 I was also very leery about removing Cassian’s intro for the same reasons. I even went as far as making the stormtrooper be the one to shoot the informant. Moe_Syzlack kept up the challenge and after implementing it I think it creates a better film, as you point out. Thanks to everyone who has supported this project in anyway, shape or form 😃

I realized there is one thing that I think deserve’s a fix, which is not a personal taste or anything, but the action sequence was altered between Krenick and Death trooper vs. Jyn and Cassian. It started with 2 death troopers but only one was shot and fell. I believe you took out the part where the first one was shot and fell flat on his stomach. By altering that scene, in a sense you erase one mid fight. I think that part should be restored … not out of personal taste but it appears to make it look like a edit mistake.

Other than that, I like what you did.

The crawl was purposefully Empire centric. This is their reign of terror and so I wanted to focus on that. This isn’t supposed to be an uplifting crawl, imho. It’s supposed to show the power of the Empire and why the Rebellion has to finally unite and rise up in open warfare. If they don’t, the Empire will ensure galactic Order. The clone wars have been over for nearly two decades, so I didn’t want to reference them as they have no connection to this story.

As for the death trooper, I didn’t touch that scene, so that one is on the official editor 😉

Only “No Moe” is available on the spleen.

No it’s not on info. Yes the no moe is the only option on myspleen. It has become the official version of the edit.
