I think it would’ve been a better resolution for Dukat to genuinely see the error of his ways and have him end his story in a similar way to Garak, only have him do it on Bajor.
It’d be really satisfying if after all his atrocities and delusions of grandeur he chose to live his life in relative anonymity helping the people he’d oppressed in a humble way.
I think it would work if he ended up turning himself in for trial and most-likely execution. I don’t think there’d be any route to forgiveness for him.
The Person in Question
Maybe he could have gone back to his captured Klingon BOP and become a space pirate? 😉

Anything beats Satanic cult-leader.

Yo ho, and a bottle of Kanar!
Hey, if Damar can kick his Kanar habit then I know Dukat can.
The Person in Question
By the final season I’m surprised everybody on the show didn’t have a drinking problem. 😉

Ugh.
These Discovery Props Reveal a Ton About Star Trek’s New Klingon Foes
The Communicator looks a bit like the boxy Wrath Of Khan props and the Tricorder like the Search For Spock models.

Know the thread’s moved into Discovery territory again but wanted to comment on the recent DS9 talk. I’m a little surprised to see people not be fans of Dukat’s S7 antics. He clearly had a Savior complex, and it seemed logical for him to take the recent Bajoran strife as a personal opportunity. It’s obvious he’s not 100% back to normal, especially given how mad he goes in “Waltz” again.
I admit him disguising himself as Bajoran is is a bit of a stretch, but the rest of the plotline makes up for it. I loved seeing him manipulate a certain Kai.
Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion of course, but of all the sloppiness there is in S7, Dukat is not where my complaints lie.

Sure. I just didn’t care much for that angle and I don’t think it fit his character. I also felt like they couldn’t decide if they wanted him to be a devout believer or just an exploitative asshole, but they insisted on the former and it didn’t totally line up with his antics. I also thought the whole thing with Kira’s mother developing Stockholm Syndrome for Dukat with her husband’s permission (which I know predates Season 7) along with Dukat getting his disciple pregnant in Season 7 was pretty sloppy and just plain weird.
The Person in Question
Yeah, things sadly got pretty goofy towards the end with him. I liked him better with shades of gray. Would have been more poetic if Kira had been able to kill him though.
Worf should have killed him, for Jadzia.
So there’s a new Discovery trailer. It looks like a thing that exists. I mean, i’ve seen a lot of things, and that… is one.
.
Don’t know the name of the song in the trailer, but I’ve heard an earlier version used in an old documentary on the Moon landings I saw once.

An interesting trailer (extended comic con version) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjPVdbsG4bY
I’ll likely tune in and watch the first few episodes - hope it does well and also takes risks from the somewhat formulaic tv Trek of Voyager & Enterprise.
A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

What would you have thought about him being tried and executed for crimes against Bajor? I think that would’ve been the best and most just way to end him.

I wouldn’t mate - I get my little brother to hold the coat hanger in the back of the tv at the just the right angle to get an ok-ish picture for all 3 tv channels 😃

Stuff like that somehow illicits a response in my head that wants me to watch it a little less (I won’t explain why due it being a spoiler - though it’s not hard to work out if you’ve read the article).
Though fair play to those who like that sort of thing.

hmm, perhaos tried, sentenced to death, killed by Worf while attempting escape?

LOL! I used to hold onto the rabbit ears of the kitchen tv to pull in a New York station that had all the cool cartoons in the morning when I was kid. Sticking my free arm up in the air also helped. Not sure analog tv signals passing through my body was healthy.

SPOILERS
I think it obvious the writer of the article never watched Star Trek V. If he, we would be saying it is unlike Spock to keep secrets. Until that that movie, Kirk and Mccoy and the others never knew Spock had a half brother. It there for would not surprise me that he wouldn’t say anything about having an adopted sister.

HI WARBLER! 😄
SPOILERS
And Star Trek V was a tough pill to swallow anyway. Spock was never hesitant to point out he had a human mother, it makes no sense for any of his family not to mention the sister in Starfleet. Sybok was the guy in the family you wanted to ignore existed anyway. This show is really looking… troubled.
