after reading the specs and watching numerous videos for all 3 systems....
the PS3 is more powerful by far than the xbox 360.... looks like being the first out of the gate doesnt always help... on top of that they already have about 4 or 5 already popular franchise games that will release with the PS3...
however nintendo will always been in a group on their own... and as far as their system is concerned i actually like it.... just hope they can pull out some great games...
Don't get me wrong, I want Revolution--all the systems--to overflow with great games... But good games alone don't sell a console; one has to have the coolness factor. *sigh* I hope Revolution can pull it off.
The PS2 was leagues behind the GCN in processor speed and graphical power and the GCN was just shy of the power of the XBOX, but the PS2 was #1, the XBOX #2, and GCN was #3.
It has been a real let down E3 this year... I expected so much more from xbox360, playstation3 and nintendo revolution... The only thing I enjoyed seeing were the new games for the Nintendo DS, so many good games... Sonic, Bomberman, Splinter Cell 3, Mario Kart DS, GoldenEye... I realized I did the right choice, picking the DS over the PSP.
By the way I attended this "Wi-Fi LAN party" with Nintendo DS this last weekend, the wireless multiplayer feature worked great.

Unfortunately, I know ONE person besides myself (and out side of school where electronics are prohibited) who owns a DS. He's the cousin of my brother's best friend (And no, I'm not making that up)...
...Which is why I'm so stoked and anticipating the launch of DS wireless. Ah. Internet Mario Kart. Internet Advance Wars: Good times are ahead.
I do agree that E3 has been quite unimpressive so far. Except for Gears of War, KillZone 2, and Twilight Princess, nothing on NON-DS systems has piqued my interest...
Unfortunately, KillZone and Gears have the feeling of "THAT'S F'JORKING AWESOME!!!"... *hour passes* "Oh. Just another FPS. It's a good deal prettier, but what new ways to kill does it offer? Any?"
The internet network is not online yet, but you can play with wi-fi already, if you happen to be 30 yards from someone with DS...
I didn't care so much about games, I had huge expectations for the new consoles on E3 this year, unfortunally it has been a real let down. It's that what they have to offer? A slightly more powerful hardware? *sigh*

PS3: The most powerful console EVER.... And the Eye Toy.
XB360: First out of the gate; slightly more powerful than Xbox; Basically the same as the Xbox but slightly better. It even has *supposedly* Xox-exclusive games like Perfect Dark Zero and Kameo. (Note the sarcasm)
Revolution: It looks nice, and can download old games.... Wireless internet.... But what ELSE do we know about it? NOTHING. We don't even know how powerful it is compared to the other two. I hope the Big N makes good on it's promise that the Revolution will do things no other console could possibly do.
Edit: And ,yes, I got a DS. I just have no one to play against.
I don't know what I'll do about the new consoles. I've got my PS2 and GCN and don't use them all that often as it is. I'll probably be a late adopter. Something like 2 years in to the existence of the system. I've got enough for both of my existing systems to keep me happy. Hell, I've still got to break in my copy of Red Dead Revolver.

Not sure if and when I'd update and get one of these new consoles - esp as if it's a near-Christmas release date we all know they'll be hefty percentage off £££wise in the sales in January (usually happens in the UK)
A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…
Me, I'm boycotting these new generation consoles. I'm sticking with my DS for now.

You could organize a "nintendo party" in your home town and play wireless multiplayer games through the download system. Although, when the internet system is available, I'll challenge you to some games!

Advance Wars was the second game I bought, right after Super Mario World Advance. It was such a fun game...too bad it kicked my butt so much I sold it.
I could never beat the final mission of the first advance wars, but I was keeping it for multiplayer... but then the save-battery went dead so the game started over evertime I killed the GBA. So I threw it away and got AW2.
Which is like the first one only 1.9 times as awesome.
