Kind of a nasty jab mate, I didn’t get that from what he was saying.

My grandmother is the only democrat in my family. I am a liberal but do not consider myself a democrat. We are able to discuss politics with each other civilly and without a filter, whether we agree or disagree on an issue. The rest of our family are just nutters.

Anyway, after the election I told her I felt bad for her, because she’s getting up there in age, and I know it would have been a huge deal for women like her to see the first woman get elected president. They may not get another chance in their lifetime.

But at the same time, I felt relieved for younger women and girls. It would have been abhorrent for someone like Hillary to have been their first female president. Hopefully the day will come sooner rather than later, when a woman will get elected who they (and we) can all be proud of.

Hillary Clinton would not have been that person.

I’m not crying for me. I’m a old(ish) straight male white millionaire US citizen, my life is good. It’s the people that don’t fall into that category that I cry for.
