Quality album - wasn’t a fan of the ‘All I Wanna Do’ track - but the rest of that album, especially the deluxe version, is a good relaxing listen.

Because much of this music was not heard in the film I tend not to fully consider it just a soundtrack album.

How does it compare to their other two? I loved their debut but Raise the Pressure was a mixed bag for me and I never even gave this a listen.

For me I liked the 1st half of Raise The Pressure (and Out Of My League as a tune), though the rest was pretty forgettable unfortunately.

This one has a lot more influence from Johnny Marr I think - a fair bit more of his guitar and some bass than the previous 2 albums - to the point where it comes across as more of pop-rock/dance inspired album. Sumner is still great and there are those familiar rhythms still there, just not quite so pronounced.

This is definitely an album where you can it has evolved on what they did before - I enjoy it 😃

(a shame they didn’t do another after this - it would have been interesting to see where they went with it)
