Immolation 89 Demo
Surprisingly good production for a Demo and Ross’ vocals are surprisingly close to his vocals on the album.

Clucking hell yeah FF, listen and sing along badly to it often. And also Jeff Wayne’s remaster(baited) War Of The Worlds. Also listen to Faith No More-The Real Thing a lotto.
Figured I’d listen to it again after “Redbone” (unsurprisingly) showed up in Get Out.

NERUDA – RED RIDER
ALBUM: 8/10
ALBUM COVER: 5/10
As suggested, it’s very good. Even Turn it On, which I’ve always dismissed/ignored as radio fluff, was surprisingly good once I actually paid attention to it.
ONLY A LAD – OINGO BOINGO
ALBUM: 9/10
ALBUM COVER: 7/10
Love me some Oingo Boingo.

Glass Houses and The Nylon Curtain were two of the earlier albums I remember listening to on my dad’s record player over and over again.
Good album, dumb art.

Glass Houses was my first album! Listened to it with my friend on his dad’s record player over and over again. I got it on cassette once I had a proper stereo.
Man, I heard Tusk on the radio yesterday. We have a great station that plays more obscure songs, so sometimes you get some great deep cuts. Tusk is such a good song.
Is Tusk really a deep track?
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

Nice.
Lot of people I know fawn over Rumours, but I think the self-titled album is Fleetwood Mac’s (2.0) best.

Well its not exactly the type of track that gets a lot of airtime on the radio these days.
But that was a deep post - it was from five months ago.

Yeah, haven’t ventured into this thread in awhile. It was staring me straight in the face.

I guess I only listen to self-branded classic rock stations. I feel like it was a hit in it’s time though. I think of deep tracks as those songs from popular albums that don’t make the cut for nostalgia radio stations to play, or as good songs that didn’t make the hits compilations.

I mean me too but I’ve never heard it played.

You’re not wrong. “Deep cut” probably isn’t the right word. But “hit” isn’t either which is I think what Tyr meant.

Not particularly, but I never hear it on the radio. That might have been the first time I ever had, actually.
Of course, I was born in 1989 so that may be a factor despite listening to classic rock stations growing up.

Yeah, it has a lot of good stuff on it. I’m So Afraid is a really great track. They got away with more on the eponymous white album, but I think by 77 they had found their sound more or less.

Man, Aja is so good. So is The Royal Scam, though.
Steely Dan is one of the best bands of all time.
