I don’t think so. Though someone did recently point out that Alderaan is more centered in Despecialized and the blu-ray, compared to the original film. Haven’t checked it myself.

People are disappointed because obviously they’re getting shitty bootlegs (no menus or labels either, apparently). One person seems to have just gotten loose discs without cases, and he replied by saying the buyer was “sadly mistaken”. I don’t think someone was “mistaken” about that after wasting $60 on it.

Bastard Star Wars child or not, he isn’t just selling some unreleased Star Wars obscurity, hurting no one in terms of sales, but directly stealing from and harming a cherished small business called Rifftrax that, through no small feat, convinced Fox/Lucasfilm/CBS/Disney/whomever to actually let them legally distribute it in the commentated form this guy is reselling. This is despicable beyond even his sales of Despecialized.

Sigh. While it is disappointing to see people trying to make some cash off of this I can’t really be surprised. I’m almost sure that bootleg Blu-rays of these are being sold at dealers’ rooms at various conventions. Heck, even after it finally came out officially on home entertainment after decades of waiting, I’m still seeing bootleg DVDs of the 1966 Batman TV series starring Adam West and Burt Ward at conventions.
