A bill proposing the decriminalization of domestic violence was introduced to Russia’s State Duma in August by ultra-conservative Yelena Mizulina, best known for her successful anti-LGBTQ legislature against “gay propaganda.” The proposed legislation passed the first reading early around the new year, in a vote of 368 to 1.
The New York Times reports that the bill passed its second reading on Wednesday, which essentially means that Vladimir Putin just needs to sign his name for it to be incorporated into their criminal code

Interesting article. A point to note … the State Department is a mess already. This happened well before Trump took office. They are under investigation at present as are some of the other agencies spewing quietly worded doomsday quips that the media then turns in to these headlines of gloom and doom for everyone.
I believe Trump called it “Draining The Swamp”.

I feel like it’s becoming more likely that Trump will have a Republican challenger in 2020. I mean, I think the moment he was elected with the majority of the country hating him this was a possibility, but things have only gotten worse. Of course a lot could change between now and then, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Sasse or Graham run against him.
What numbers are you basing “the majority of the country hating him” on? I haven’t seen any specific polls or graphs or pies that lay this out. Any links?
How about the fact that the majority of the country didn’t vote for him?

And most of the people who did vote for him seem to not support him, they incorrectly assumed that he was the lesser of two evils.

People think in terms of “freedom” v oppression without understanding human freedom.
Freedom from one’s own and another’s tyranny requires TOTAL ENSLAVEMENT to natural True Law. Freedom from True Law is TOTAL ENSLAVEMENT to the depravity of men, INCLUDING ones own evil/destructiveness.
This is the Libertarian error with regard to morality and personal conduct.

Speaking of don’t even try, I can’t even get my brain around this.
This is a great idea to reduce clutter in your household, especially if you think your kids have too much stuff. Every time you buy them a toy, make them get rid of two. Or for personal use, like every time you buy a shirt, get rid of two you never wear, then donate them to a shelter or something.
Getting rid of regulations to make room for new ones doesn’t make sense because we aren’t running out of room in the regulation closet. And who decides what kind of regulations are going to be discarded by the new one? Sounds like businesses who feel like they’re over-regulated can get their problems to the top of the list by greasing the right wheels.

With the media and the establishment against him, the numbers are hardly surprising. I’m amazed he even got 45% of truly great americans to support their President (the best US President since… ever ?) with lefties all over the place punching in the face everyone who doesn’t agree with them (you want to punch someone in the face in the US and get away with it ? It’s easy: call the guy you target a “nazi” - no proof needed - and go for it !).

I’ve only seen one guy who’s being punched, and his status in the Adolf fan club is pretty obvious.
