ImgBurn is brilliant, but it does indeed sadly have a potentially dodgy installer. A post on the cdrlabs forum mentioned an easy way of using it without risking any unwanted crap:

Simply use 7zip to open the installer exe file, and extract the 2 exe files and Sounds directory. The rubbish is all in the $PLUGINSDIR directory.

Good advice, thanks for the info.

I’m curious to know, how are people finding the commentaries? Have any fav’s so far? I’ve enjoyed listening through the comedy ones, esp the Super Ego commentary for ESB, and can also recommend The Canon for SW, and Half in the Bag for ROTJ.

I’ve watched your 50gb versions back to back over and over again. You created retail quality discs. Amazing quality. Thank you Sir.

I am so excited to get these discs just for these commentaries. I’ve seen these movies a billion times, but I want to listen to these commentaries without having to do the gymnastics of syncing.

You’re doing the Lord’s work, NJVC.

NJVC, thank you so much. I just finished my first run test of burning your 25 GB ISOs, and they came out perfectly. I still can’t believe the process was so simple. Thank you to everyone and your helpful advice. Next week I’ll be burning your 50 GB versions. Your work is fantastic.

I’m fairly certain you have not burned my version if there is no menu included. There were ISO versions doing the rounds before I made these that had no menus or features. I suspect that’s what you have downloaded.

(PM sent regarding my versions)

I had the same confusion when I found those BD25 iso files while I was in limbo and unable to register. I thought I had found the correct iso files and was confused by the lack of menus even though I knew the features would be on a seperate disc. It turns out those non-njvc iso files do include some additional content, but only as extra mp4 files on the disc which are not accessible from a menu. But if your blu-ray player can handle the files format, you can still access them by using the data disc option instead of the blu-ray disc option.

I haven’t goten to the commentaries yet, but I just finished downloading SW and watched the first feature on the making of the Harmy versions. I was struck by how strong my feelings of appreciation were for all the work that went into this remake, and your added efforts to extend it to store-quality discs with extras and menus. Although I can understand the no-sales policy for legal reasons and to keep out the rifraf, it’s a real shame there’s no tangible way to show HOW MUCH those efforts are appreceiated from those of us on the receiving end. I did get permission from Harmy’s FB page to pass on my first tries at burning to others, free of charge. So I may not be able to give tangible rewards to those who did the work, but I can get their work into the hands of others who lack the tech skills to get it themselves. I plan to do the same with the non-njvc copies I have once I finish downloading the full njvc iso set and burn a new set of discs.

Thanks again to Harmy, NJVC, and all the other members who made these wonderful works available to us non-creative types!

njvc, I saw someone refer to the 50GB versions, but have not been able to find them on myspleen. Are they somewhere else?

Great work on these btw and can’t wait till Harmy gets 1080p versions of ESB And RotJ so these can really shine.

Thanks

Tim.

Hey, I got a spleen invite from someone, but all I can find is the BD25 versions. Have the others been removed or am I just not using the right search terms? I’d really like the BD50 versions and the documentary discs if at all possible. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

don’t search for njvc in the filename, only some really old out of date ones are under that. instead do a user search for njvc, and view all the user’s uploaded torrents. 😄

Duh, I should have tried that. Thanks.

Is there a 1080 version of a new hope that I’ve missed?

They can be found on MySpleen. If you don’t have an account already, please do not ask here. There’s a thread for invite requests: http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Post-in-this-thread-to-request-an-invite-to-MySpleenorg-you-MUST-read-the-first-post/id/8592/page/1

Please be sure to read the first post.

Did you format the USB Key to NTFS?

Author

Yeah it’s just the file system you’re using. Reformat it as sougouk says and you can simply copy and paste it.

Author

Exactly, since FAT32 has a file size limit of around 4.25gb.

Ah, okeyy, didn´t know. Thanks you 😃

No problem, happy to help. Though, older versions of Windows, like XP, may not format the USB key to NTFS the first time. If that’s the case, try formatting it again. Also, it’s better to do a FULL FORMAT.

Kinda new to this stuff, but got the BD50GB ISO files downloaded on an external hard drive.

Won’t play on VLC media player, any idea what to do to watch the files before I burn them to blu ray discs?
