First off, the continued obvious photoshops in this thread makes me sad.

With reference to that specific photoshop, I get tired of hearing that bullshit about how kids are too coddled and aren’t tough enough. Try raising a little kid with Asperger’s and see how far “toughening her up” gets you.

Every child is different and they all need different things.

Second of all, I wasn’t suggesting that kids today aren’t “tough enough” and that we need to “toughen them up.” I often roll my eyes when I see that argument.

I think you saw that photograph in a different way than I did. I’m sorry if I offended you.

And just for curiosity, what are the other photoshops you have a problem with?

I think the picture is mocking the expectations towards parents rather than the varied needs of children. A lot of parents feel pressured to be perfect in so many ways and feel judged when not meeting expectations. At least that’s how interpret the picture.

I mean, the fact that most “funny” pictures are photoshopped makes it so I can’t even believe the true ones.
