I thought Metroid Prime was fantastic. It's actually my favorite GC game. However, I might hold off a bit on MP2 because:

1) there's a different developement team that worked on this one

2) I want to see people's impressions of this light/dark stuff

3) Halo 2 just came out

I'll give you number three.

The end of Metroid Prime is pretty cool, though I was a little underwhelmed by the scale of the final Boss. Not the difficulty; the size...
(It is smaller than the plant-snake boss in Chozo Ruins)

I'm new to theese boards, but it's late around here so Ill just make this quick.I thought some of the orignal MP was a little bit on the EZ side... and kind of repetetive on occassion.

Interesting. The only thing I found repetiive in Metroid Prime was the cursed back-tracking, but that is in all the Metroid games...

Not to make gender an issue, Mirax, but we've just been realizing that some of our big posters are actually women and we didn't know it. So a shout out to all the female Star Wars fans.

I, regrettably, haven't played Metroid. The xbox and ps2 take up enough time and money. I'm hoping when the next generation comes out the price will come down enough for a third system to be worth it.

If you're going to take forever, then I'm having a hotdog!

Didn't know there was a sequel coming out!

Must get more GameCube games - before it's too late...

(and must try and complete Super Metroid too)

Damn TimeSpliiters 2 for taking up gaming time from Metroid Prime...

The only way I'll ever beat Super Metroid is if Nintendo releases it for GBA or DS.

I don't have the willpower to sit down and play old games on consoles.

Never played any of the Metroid games.

In fact, I've only got 2 disks for my GameCube:
Soul Caliber 2
Legend of Zelda collector's disk (4 games in 1)

Then I got KotOR. Haven't played much on the GC at all lately.

It was infuriating that you HAVE to use stealth! you can't choose to fight.

YOU CAN"T EVEN KILL GUARDS WITHOUT A GUN.

Maybe you should stick to games like Syphon Filter if you dont like using stealth

. I think its pretty cool that you are forced into using stealth in Twin Snakes, just an opinion though.

You do realize that Syphon Filter was a bad example, right?

A very dated tactical shooter a good game does not make.
