As for releasing the digital version in 2015 instead of waiting, that was because Fox never owned those particular rights to the other five movies to begin with. George held on to them, which means they immediately became Disney’s when the buyout happened (you can’t buy ANH on Disney’s digital download service, but you can on itunes, amazon, google, etc). Same thing applies to the tv broadcast rights.

Alderaan doesn’t do that. Not truthfully at least. Kennedy never said anything about the OUT being released or never being released. She basically said she would not change the films as they are now ie no more SE changes.

I apologize for Disney making Inspector Gadget 2.

Lucasfilm has nothing to apologize for as far as the new movies go. The Force Awakens and Rogue One are outstanding. The Last Jedi looks to continue the trend. I’m sure Ron Howard will turn in a great Han Solo movie.

As for not releasing the Unaltered original Trilogy, well that one is unfortunate, but as the fan editions like Harmy keep getting better, I’m starting to care less and less about an official release. If I can get my hands on 4K77, then I really couldn’t care less about an official release, so it’s their loss. I’m sure it all has something to do with GL’s wishes. Might have to wait till he is one with the Force, and maybe not even then.

To be fair the post in question did simply say “they are great” which kindof implies it was a fact, but at least it didn’t directly say their opinion was fact and all others are objectively wrong. (This post doesn’t contain that footnote, but you have plenty that do.)
