Dreamrider by Lazerhawk - it’s a return to the slow chilled out Visitors style sounds rather than the expected pedal to the metal tunes, but hey I can dig it.

Dire Straits - Dire Straits (1978)
Everything about this album is perfect to me. Some of the finest guitar playing you could ever hope for. Mark Knopfler’s got a tone to his sound, that is so pure, clean, and timeless. He doesn’t sound like any of his contemporaries. Kids, Mark did more than just Money For Nothing or Sultans of Swing. This album, which includes Sultans, also features great anthems that are just as good. As a guitarist, and amateur songwriter, it’s an inspiration to me. Pop it in sometime, go for a drive. Have a drink or just relax. It’s an album I never leave home without. I’ve got it on vinyl, cd, my phone, and a flash drive that I use when I drive.

Dire Straits is an amazing band and their best stuff isn’t even the stuff that gets all the radio play (in my opinion) (not that the radio stuff isn’t also amazing).

Dire Straits is an amazing band and their best stuff isn’t even the stuff that gets all the radio play (in my opinion) (not that the radio stuff isn’t also amazing).
There are very few band whose radio stuff is their best stuff.

How’s the newest album? Does it sound like previous ones?
It’s in the same light but the album has a lot more features and that is the biggest difference between this and Demon Days. Musically at its core it’s still Gorillaz though not as refined and consistent as they once were. Hopefully Humanz grows on me more as I live with the album.
