Agreed, I think faster and more intense is the way to go, maybe something akin to PTSD flashbacks.

That would be a game changer.
Although it would be painstaking It would be quite a feat to replace Alden with Harrison for Solo.
I agree that that might have been Rian Johnson’s intention but I disagree with the execution.
For me the goofy purple hair aesthetic looks more Hunger Games than Star Wars.
I’m not sure I follow that, how is it distracting/unfitting? I don’t think I’ve ever read anything about rebels having hair colours dependent on rank (if that’s what you mean, but I may be being naive).
Maybe its just personal preference but i think the purple hair looks a little goofy and maybe a bit childish for an admiral of the rebellion, I mean could you imagine how silly it would look on someone like Tarkin or Hux?
Are you still planning on releasing this around December with TROS.
I find that it’s quite distracting and perhaps unfitting for a woman of her status.
this looks fantastic.
I think the best thing to do for the moment is to make this into a 3 hour movie, cut out the filler and keep the juicy stuff.
Disney Plus is releasing today with all Star Wars films in HDR 4k, they are using the special editions for the original trilogy.

That’s actually completed to my satisfaction, and hasn’t substantially changed since this update on page 26:
If it’s not too much trouble would you mind showing what the falcon chase scene looks like with the new washed out colours? That’s the first scene I thought of when I heard of the new colour correction.
Apply new color grading to the entire film in general, and a bright, washed-out ‘purgatory’ look for Jakku in particular.
Any progress on the purgatory look? Sounds interesting.
Would it be better if I were to replace the rocks behind Luke and have him fade in totally independent of the surroundings?
I’d like to see what that would look like but I honestly prefer letting the scene play out without fading in luke at the beginning like the previous iterations mainly because the blur-in makes it look like an illusion within a dream and maybe it would give away the fact that Rey is just generating a fantasised version of luke which I think should be kept for TLJ as a shock when the audience finds out that he is just an old hermit on a rock.
Concerning the final scenes, it becomes more and more clear that I need to show BB-8’s contribution to the map or else the Resistance looks that much worse for failing to search R2. So I’ve extended the TLJ musical cue to give the map scene more time to breathe. There are also a few small changes to the Luke dream I’m sure you’ll spot:

The music transitions are really top notch and the bright dream affect is superb, I personally wouldn’t blur luke at the beginning instead leaving it till the end of the dream so that it remains more subtle.
Love this, gives Kotor vibes.
I think grey with red eyes would look quite menacing.
The overall sound is much improved but personally I think it flows better without the extra Snoke line.
This gave me goosebumps :>
Very Spielberg-esque.
This deal is getting better every time! , what do you think about having a white fade-in when the dream starts and a white fade-out when it ends instead of the dreamy filter just like you did when focusing on luke, it’s more subtle but it really drives home that it’s a dream.
Yes great idea, since colour is very subjective making an alternative would appeal to even more people
