I can’t take credit for the Idea as it was brought up by someone in another thread, as for the dialogue I think it would be more affective if Snoke alluded to Palpatine as the “Dark Lord”, “Phantom Menace” or “Master of the Sith” soon to reveal himself in the unknown or something to that affect, keeping the surprise for TROS.

Another way to emphasise Snoke’s allegiance to the Sith would be through music and sound, adding the “Sith whispers” from TPM to the opera scene music would give a very Sithy vibe, also incorpirating some sith chants from the acolytes on Exogol would be a pretty good indicator 😉

This is a little ambitious but what do you think of the idea of implying Snoke to be one the Sith acolytes of palpatine? Perhaps a “High Priest of the Sith” so to speak. This could be done by changing his robes to black/purple and redubbing him to speak Sith. I think its an efficient way of foreshadowing the events of TROS and would add a little extra Lore in TLJ.

That line felt so contrived, changing it to “Leia sensed the BIRTH of her son” would make a lot more sense as to why she would quit being a Jedi.

Yeah that was hinted at by Snoke in the TLJ and according to the early Paxis leaks Palpatine new all along about the Dyad , he originally told kylo to bring Rey alive so that they can inherit his thrown as emperor and empress after he dies with the intention obviously to suck the life out of them once they come together.

I like to think Snoke may have been clone bodies leftover by his master, Plagueis, that Sidious then used for his own purposes. He could’ve just been a homunculus, though. Not even sure how that could be tied in. But it would be a fun way to confirm those theories true, from a certain point of view!

I really like the idea of Palpatine using his Master as a pawn in a twisted form of revenge.

I really can’t blame them though for not incorporating the FinnPoe angle, it would have been a financial suicide especially in the international market.

Give it a few decades tho…

TROS has remained at exactly 86% audience rating at Rotten Tomatoes despite over 25,000 new reviews and at Metacritic it’s at 50% going up and down over the last few days.

I still frame it the old way: things that have “Episode __” in the title are ‘Star Wars’ proper, and everything else is Expanded Universe and may or may not be steamrolled at any time. That’s remained true in recent years despite official denial. Fight me.

The novelisation will probably incorporate all the deleted scenes so an extended cut wouldn’t necessarily go against canon.

Something that really bothers me is how the “Supreme leader” of the First Order completely forgets about using his fleet against the Sith after returning to the light.

Villeneuve’s aesthetic is just perfect for star wars.

After TROS underperforming I doubt the higher ups at Disney will give Johnson his trilogy.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they put the blame on TLJ for the decline of interest in Star Wars.

I hope they give the next trilogy to a visionary like Denis Villeneuve

The behind the scenes “documentaries” for the Disney Trilogy are just promotional material.

Endgame was re-released with an extended version so Disney might be doing the same with Star wars (I hope).

It looks like the original cut was a longer and more nuanced, seems like the film was watered down to the lowest common denominator.
