I think that’d be pretty abrupt. That scene has two good places to be but can’t be in both.

That’s an interesting approach, and I could see that working very well for that chunk of the movie. My only concern for the moment is that we’d have to do something with the transition between Rey and Finn’s conversation about her vision to BB8 stumbling onto D0, as V1 has the establishing shot of the Falcon being towed and then the Palpatine-Kylo conversation. I wouldn’t been keen on reinstating the “Chewie’s alive” spoiler scene.
I can’t even keep track anymore, but I think originally Kylo says he “knows where she’s going” as she goes to ~Endor, but I don’t think it’s ever explained how.
The film is black and white until the moment we cut to inside the Mos Eisley cantina.
I’d hate to lose that forest shot from poppasketti but we’ll see whatever works best. Thanks, Nev!
TPM is, as I believe Ebert said, “a pretty good bad movie.”
Palm Springs - Groundhog Day gets a worthy successor. I’ve wanted to see more movies that take that premise and play with it.
R2-D2 is constantly trailing heavy exhaust throughout the saga.
Ben seeing Maul die with a persistent desire for vengeance probably strengthens his perspective in ROTJ that Vader is irredeemable, and if he had ‘turned good’ it would’ve undermined that.
They are aggregates, approximations, analogues. Useful and valid enough, but nothing is truly objective; it’s an oxymoron. Without a viewer, there is no perspective.
Yeah, it’s like:
Rise of Skywalker fan edits, brrrrought to you byyyyy COVID-19!
A client of mine I recently took on claims to have caught all of them, and transferred them over so they alllll live on the same save file.
Everything is subjective. There is no objective perspective.
FanEdit.org has a discord too, might have better luck using that.
Got it, thanks! I figured it was ripped from ROTS but this is better, clean.
Uncle Owen gets barbecue sauce on his face while eating.
Aunt Beru puts tiny CGI creatures in the food processor rather than vegetables.
I think it works well enough. Can you please send me the audio? Ideally separate from the final clip? If you could export all channels if you added reverb, that’d let me implement and adjust further if needed.
Change Palpatine’s scream while falling down the DSII spire to “Noooo!!”
Just to be clear, because I do plan to give it a try, you mean the sound he makes while making that spin lunge at the group of four Jedi?
“You’re going to kill him, aren’t you?”
“That’s why I’m here.”
The audio error has been fixed, as well as improving that one audio transition near when Maul appears in the hangar, and is being reuploaded presently.
There’s some damn fine sequences in there. I especially like the feel of the post-Phasma-shields sequence.
And the new music and arrangement as Rey taps into the Force during the duel.
Fortunately for me, I don’t think there’s much I’d want to cull for Restructured. Partly because you have put together a gordian knot in many places.
One thing can’t nobody argue with is that I finish projects. We’ll get there, and there will be a certain point at which the project will be 100% finished. Even then, though, there’ll always be more people can do with it.
Only with goats.
Thanks, Nev.
And I wish you rest, MR.
^MR, if you could add some FO TIEs to a 200% speed clip from the Biomes scene, that might be the ticket.
When people on reddit send me messages saying “whoa dude is this your project?” all I can say is “Ostensibly, but refer to the writeup; there are so many people who have done incredible things that I merely have compiled.”
