I can picture George Lucas sitting back at Skywalker Ranch, looking at this site.

"Fifty-Five THOUSAND. These guys must really be desperate."

But sadly, no "...This could really save my neck."

Anybody else have the interactive R2? I LOVE this thing!

It roams around, and it’s really fun to watch the movies with it. It seems to react to things in it too.

Anybody here have it?

If I were to create my own version of changes I like/dislike, (Which I could; it just wouldn't look good) here's what I'd do:

AHN

Have it be original up to Mos Eisley. The first shot with the 'scurriers' I would leave in. Then cut to the SE shot, minus the droid wackiness. Then have the original version for the shot that starts the stormtrooper diolauge. Then have the SE far shot, before having the original Canina entrance. Then it will be entireley original version until the Falcon takes off, which will be SE.
The entire inside the Death Star scenes will be SE for just general better Matte Paintings, except for major things like Han's lots-of-stormtroopers-room.
The Death Star space battle would be primarily SE, except for the explosion which would be original.
The Award Ceremony would be SE, just because they aren't cardboard cutouts.

ESB

Original version. The whole thing.

ROTJ

Everything would be original up until the new Bantha shot, which would be SE. Then entire ordeal with Jabba's Palace will be original.
Come the end of the film, I would have all the shots of the galaxy-wide celebration, but when It comes back to the Ewoks, they will sing as in the original.

I think I will do this sometime, if I ever want to give Star Wars to a friend.

Hey Hal, at least you were watching it on Laserdisc, try a decade-old VHS!

Indeed I am grateful to own a LD player. Good luck with your tapes.

Theforce.net will always be my favorite Star Wars site.

I couldn't bring myself to vote in that poll, for obvious reasons.

Except the part about wanting to buy the DVDs. I wouldn't buy them for anything.

Here's a killer idea for Luke, or anybody!

Wait until the legitimate DVDs come out.
Then scan them onto your computer, menus and everything.
Then, scan the laserdisc onto your computer.
Then edit them together, so you have the DVD menus with the original movie!

That'd be AWESOME!

If I had bought Hyperspace, I'd just barely not have had enough to buy my laserdiscs. I wouldn't have JUST bought them before the announcement, and just before prices shot up.

So, in a way, it is a very good thing I didn't buy hyperspace.
