Luke was like “That was a great adventure and I’m glad I could help, but it sure is good to be back home.”
Luke was like “That was a great adventure and I’m glad I could help, but it sure is good to be back home.”
The new hard drive had a few issues trying to restore from my backup so I suspect there is a certain degree of file corruption. But I’m restoring from the oldest backup point I have from 2 weeks ago and no issues yet. It seems like it’ll take quite a while to copy everything back over.
I’d really like to buy a second backup drive sometime and swap it out once every 3 months and store the one not plugged in at another location.
It was his “true form” in Ep3 because he was no longer masking himself. He was born a human and looked like a regular guy.
And all the new canon stuff with green cloning liquid will be based on the idea that it’s what Snoke grew out of. The red cylinders we see in TROS:A are for Palpatine’s clones, which might not be the same thing. Snoke could still have been elsewhere in a green vat if future canon demands it of your headcanon and TROS:A won’t contradict it.
At least with TROS:A you could probably assume there was a single Snoke being that was created.
There’s a handful of things in TROS:A, especially V2, that merely removes obstacles from nerdy headcanon being brought to bear.
His post-dyad form still looks like a melty-face. Even the fully restored “true form” is one of degeneration.
Even when the story called for a youthful, rejuvenated threat, ‘OT imagery’ is such an unstoppable force of nature that you better watch out!
I’d be all right with that!
Yeah, it’s an old-ish term I’ve only seen around here but I like. Reserved only for when something got a genuine, literal laugh out of me.
ALLOL
Sola: A Star Wars Story

Well put. While we’ve transcended certain traditional constraints, we’re still tethered to reality.
The issue is what is possible with the footage as we have it.
lol, right, that was part of it.
Looking and sounding really good to me, especially that last shot. 😃
There wasn’t really one. It’s slightly funny now, though.
In the cave scene of TROS, when the flashlight gag happens, replace Poe’s flashlight with an actual lightsaber to eliminate the gag. The flashlight remains a lightsaber throughout the tunnel sequence, but it is never commented on.
On Kijimi, when Finn and Poe argue and Finn leaves to find Rey, show Finn taking that same lightsaber from Poe as he gives Poe the binoculars. In the hallway scene where Finn dramatically looks around, have him ignite the saber. The saber remains ignited as he runs toward Rey and calls her name, but when she pushes him back she also force-pulls the saber into her hand.
On Ach-To, cut everything about Leia and her training. When Rey “takes both sabers to Exegol,” it’s the Skywalker saber and the Finn/Poe saber.
Gorgeous.
YES. And through editing, imply he only appears as Snoke to Kylo Ren.
You can’t help but laugh at blowing Kijimi up.
And it’d be one fewer thing to just wonderfully all come together all of a sudden at the end of the movie.
Without Babu appearing like a pop-tart during the final battle, there’s one less reason to keep the little joke on Endor.
Looks like I’m gonna have to replace my big hard drive with all my SW stuff on it. I’ve got it all backed up, so that’s all fine, but GD. Won’t be able to do much with anything until then.
I’ll add the Babu Frik joke on Endor to the OP as something being considered aside from being part of the 3PO redub idea.
I’m still open to the 3PO dub idea, but like with many things I’m skeptical until seeing it work well. And if it gets done, it’ll be available for anyone to use, regardless of it this project does.
I am inclined to agree, as time goes on.
I was trying to edit down the Maple Films version of the Hobbit to a particular runtime. Edit some of it into Star Wars to get rid of footage.
Agreed. I think the final paragraph works well, since Kylo is afraid not of Palpatine but of those flames of rebellion.
Try it sometime, I think it’s pretty okay!
You have to dub in the redlettermedia guys over the comm yelling, “Did you see BOBA FETT?!”
