Movies that have never been released in original form on DVD
Time
But the point I need to make is, how the hell can anyone act surpised that Lucas isn't going to put the rough-cut out on DVD? He said nine years ago, NINE YEARS AGO thar the "95 release was the LAST TIME the original versions would ever be released on video. So if you where actually paying any attention you'd known that he wans't going to release the rough-cut of the movies on DVD, or VHS, or lazer disc for the last NINE FREAKIN' YEARS.

If I tell you that I'm gonna break your leg, does that make it any less of a bad think when I actually do?

Blunt answer.

But that's pretty much what happens. They also censored some of the scribblings on the bathroom wall that Valient falls out of in Toontown.

Well, we've discussed this in the past. But since we have so many new posters around, let's do it again...

1. ESB
2. ANH
3. ROTJ-AOTC tie
5. TPM

You're holding out a lot of hope for Ep3 sight unseen, aren't you, Hal?

From what I've heard so far, it should be good.

That's why there's a question mark (?) included next to it.

Reading of the Names
Time
I thought of something that maybe somebody might want to do if they get really bored.

Remember when they read the names of everybody who died in 9/11 on TV?
Maybe we could do this with the petition! And somehow get somebody at Lucasfilm to see it.

Which would make more of an impact: simply saying that 55K people signed it, or a video with somebody reading all these names?

There are many more shots modified in ANH than in ESB and ROTJ.

ANH would be the most difficult to do if that were to happen.
ESB would be easier.
ROTJ would be pretty easy. The great middle chunk of the film until the end has no changes. ROTJ just has major changes; keeping little detail changes to a minimum.

But yeah, ANH would be a mess to do.

Here's an idea for somebody to do who has the equipment.
Take the O-OT laserdisc set and the SE DVD set.
Transfer both to computer. Then, edit them together so that it is the SE up until a change is made, in which it will revert back to the laserdisc.

That way, you have the best possible picture and sound, and it's the originals!

I can't even begin to attempt such a feat. But that'd be sweet.
