What is wrong with Return of the Jedi?
Time
I don't really see why AOTC should/would be the best Star Wars film.

I still think the original Star Wars, A New Hope (hate to call it that, btw) is the best SW film yet.
Followed closley by ESB, and ROTJ.

The prequels are good too. But it's very hard to compare them.
All in all, the prequels aren't as good as the originals.

I love AOTC, but it just can't hold a candle to the original films, even ROTJ.

I am 14, btw.

MORE CHANGES!!! (for the 2004 OT DVD release)
Time
I do not mind the prequels.

In fact, I love them! I honestly think the prequels are great precursors to the OT.
I watch them just as often as the original trilogy.

But what I don't like is altering the OT in order to "better fit in" with the PT.

I mean, WTF is up with that?! THAT is what I despise.

And THAT is why the DVDs will never touch my hands or even be associated with me whatsoever.

Well if it is for SD TV,it will probably be pan scan, and for HD TV it would probably be mild letterboxing, just like on the DVD
But you never know, allthough it is rare that cinemascope films get released in letterbox on TV,
there have been cases of that too (like Alien 3)

That's what I hate about broudcasting.

You need to have a special TV to pick up widescreen signals.
I'd like to have a proper movie shown without it being butchered without having to pay a lot more for a high-definition TV!

Changes in 2004 DVDs
Time
He has no interest at all in releasing the original version because he "feels the SE is the final version/stage of the Star Wars Trilogy." He isn't interested in putting out a version that "illistrates how it got to this point."

SO WHY THE HELL IS HE RELEASING THE SE NOW, AND AN ULTIMATE EDITION LATER?!

By this logic, RELEASE THE ORIGNALS!!!!

No, bad idea.

Different directors can choose whatever aspect ratio they want. That's an artistic trait of a film.
