You know that shot of Luke pulling up in the landspeeder where Ben says "there's nothing you could have done, had you been there"?

The landspeeder always wobbled in that shot and drove me crazy, it's so obvious it's just on a rig. Can you do something to stabalize it so it doesn't wiggle around long after Luke steps out?

I saw your Alderaan test sequence, and that was amazing! How did you do that? Amazing what someone can do with a computer.

Anyway, some desaturation and de/recoloring would be a great help to the '04 OT. ESB and ROTJ have this terrible blue glow to most of them, and Endor just looks too bright green I can't stand to watch it!
A cool shot would be maybe turning any one officer who reports to Tarkin and Vader in ANH into a hologram, like the one who reports that the rebel base ain't on Dantooine. Just an idea, don't have to listen to it.

Is there anything that can be done about the awful blue tint that most of the movie has? Unless it compromises picture quality in the process, seeing the Death Star gray instead of blue would be something I'd put on my list.

I like the idea of calling the OT by Episode I, II, and III. And the blue saber sounds promising, I can't wait to see this edit!

I remember being ten years old at the time, and always wanting to go to Taco Bell because my little brain associated it with Star Wars-y goodness.

Is that why I like Taco Bell so much now? Probably not because of my Jar-Jar toy I got there. Although the Anakin/Darth Vader transforming mini-bank was pretty cool.

Windu's death scene was great like that!

Only thing is that you can still hear the original music, and it sounds like you're trying to drown it out with new music.

If there are numerous scene transitions in the IMAX version that weren't in other versions due to scene shuffling, I'm afraid I couldn't pull it off in a realistic way.
It'd be better left to someone else, but I'd be willing to create an edit "in the spirit of" the IMAX version. But that's not nearly as exciting.

I think in the 70mm version (and subsequently in the SE) she does grunt, but in the original 35mm version we see on laserdisc, she doesn't.

If I can get a copy of the VCD, I'd love to tackle this idea. It would not be exact, I'm assuming. But it should be able to be very close.
And I wouldn't mess with the aspect ratio, I'm not going to zoom in on the flim. That would be the major difference.

Awesome to hear a new version!

Only thing I can think of that ANH would still need done is just color correction and things like that. (Meaning things that got screwed up during restoration)
I do miss Wolfman, though.

And tellan, I would love to see your work with ANH. Could you post some pictures and/or clips? Or how could one go about obtaining your ANH edit?

The "definitive list of IMAX changes" is very vague, so it'd be hard to know if my cuts and trims were even in the right place at all.

Even the first thing listed is that the office scene with Yoda, Amidala, and Palpatine is deleted. Does that mean from the start, of just the second half where the Loyalist party walks in?

Even so, the aspect ratio would be left alone, and there couldn't be any scene wipes. Everything I do has to be on the cut. If someone with more information and abilities could do it, I'd love a copy.

If it's not too late, I have a request for a change.

Something that's always bugged me about ESB are the scratches on the floor of the Falcon when Threepio is being dragged by artoo, leftover from previous takes.
Is this easily fixable? It's just always bugged me, and I noticed it even as a kid seeing it for the first time.

Trickbaxter, I've never heard of a ROTS IMAX version. Maybe I'm dumb, but I can't tell if you were kidding.

Anyway, if someone could find me a *complete*, and *detailed* list of every change to the IMAX version of AOTC, I might give it a shot and see if I can do it. Might be hard without any scene wipes.
