The first thing we will discover is which font the title will use.
The first thing we will discover is which font the title will use.
‘97 SE full screen VHS
‘97 SE widescreen VHS (wised up partially)
‘04 DVDs
Not that great LaserDiscs
Faces LaserDiscs (much better)
‘06 DVDs
‘11 BluRays (specifically for fan editing purposes, as my TV just ain’t that great and I don’t even have a BR player hooked up to it. Only other BR I own is Back to the Future that I won.)
Whenever I get the chance, I will play around with removing the high pitched Minis Morgul-ish sound at the end of the foley as Luke looks into Kylo’s mind, in order to lay down an Emperor laugh that is still subtle while being a bit easier to make out.
Hard to say. TFA: Restructured describes the core objective of the project, though sounds kind of boring and was coined before I knew it would end up a trilogy of projects. TLJ: Legendary essentially just borrows from the theme of the movie. So until I see TROS Friday morning, I won’t know what would fit. Or I might not know until I have an inkling of what I’d even want to do with it.
TROS: High Ground
Yeah, while it’s cool I expect not to use it in the final version.

I’m with you.
Truly adios from me for now, too.
Looking forward to this! Be it before or after TROS.
Can’t post a clip right now but I did add the Emperor’s laugh from the TROS teaser to Luke gazing into Kylo’s mind in the rear channels at a very low volume that’s hard to make out unless you know what you’re listening for. Might be a good balance between doing it and not doing it at all.
Thank you for sharing that! It’s good to hear glimpses like that into people watching these.
If anything, I wonder if it might be a better place to add the Emperor’s laugh To Luke looking inside Kylo Ren‘s mind in TLJ.
Just wanted to reiterate my gratitude to all who contributed to this project, on the eve of Episode IX.
Fun fact: every IFDB review of this edit since the release of V2 has been 9.8 or above.
I cringe at my own commentary tracks. But I’d listen to one!
Had to.
I like it, and the ‘whole buffalo’ approach to footage.

Yeah, I skimped just because it’s a temporary work print release. Don’t feel the need to give it to close of a thorough watch through, as I really just reconnected the source in the timeline for the most part and gave everything a quick one over.
I figure he could just have picked another one up off of the corpse of a youngling.
Mourn them he does not. Miss them he does not.
Opening: $275m
Domestic: $900m
Worldwide: $1.9b

Merry Christmas, Adywan! Thanks for posting the recent update. Sounds like Disney+ premiered not a moment too soon.
Thanks for making me aware of that! Well, sucks he has to jettison what sounds like a ton of work; I feel his pain. But, this project’s sources won’t be any more mismatched than the Revisited series.
Well, while we wait we can just press on with whatever R&D we can do with this temporary webrip.
I’d welcome such a general purpose LUT. It need not match anything in particular, just to bring it closer to the character of the picture of this project’s ANH and ESB.
By the way, the new workprint is up.
Currently encoding a new workprint for ROTJ using the 19SE as the primary source, since it was easy to do. This should be much more watchable than the BR-sourced one available now.
But, I probably won’t use the 19SE as the ultimate source because it is a different feel to the ones I used for ANH and ESB. Whether it’s Adywan adjusting the BR or someone else adjusting the eventual disc release of the 19SE, the ultimate source remains hidden for now.
