Merry Christmas, Adywan! Thanks for posting the recent update. Sounds like Disney+ premiered not a moment too soon.

Thanks for making me aware of that! Well, sucks he has to jettison what sounds like a ton of work; I feel his pain. But, this project’s sources won’t be any more mismatched than the Revisited series.

Well, while we wait we can just press on with whatever R&D we can do with this temporary webrip.

I’d welcome such a general purpose LUT. It need not match anything in particular, just to bring it closer to the character of the picture of this project’s ANH and ESB.

By the way, the new workprint is up.

Currently encoding a new workprint for ROTJ using the 19SE as the primary source, since it was easy to do. This should be much more watchable than the BR-sourced one available now.
But, I probably won’t use the 19SE as the ultimate source because it is a different feel to the ones I used for ANH and ESB. Whether it’s Adywan adjusting the BR or someone else adjusting the eventual disc release of the 19SE, the ultimate source remains hidden for now.

A new TV spot for TROS released tonight shows repurposed footage from a TFA deleted scene included on the BluRay.

Hoping the new movie won’t require rethinking the scene in TFA:R where Leia sends her envoy to the Senate. I don’t imagine talk of the Senate would fit into this movie anyway, so here’s hoping for no damage!

Anakin makes any sort of meaningful appearance.

Add the ship from ‘The Mandalorian’ to the opening shot of ANH.

I suppose it’s good to have this clarification, in that these projects don’t have a sword dangling over their heads of an official release.

It sounds like if that were the long and short of it we’d be able to. But he’s persistently broken the rules throughout with socks. It’s too bad, but I don’t see a path forward without a change in behavior first.

Even in the event that everything being tossed about is correct, I don’t think those would be warranted.

Film ends with the victorious Emperor Palpatine, now the only conscious being in existence, sending dozens of star destroyers into a nearby star for fun.

May or may not have just listened to the whole soundtrack. Spoiled rotten, but one doesn’t know the meaning of everything until sitting in the theater.

Here’s my pre-IX hot take. For this ranking, I’m considering my fan edited versions of each. Like bowling with bumpers, it only helps the incompetent. And this is on enjoyment and/or personal meaning, not from a film critic perspective.
