Hmmmm, I’ll take a look when I can, but may be a few days.
I wish that angle was never put to film, but I’m not sure I want to go that route. We’ll see but I expect that won’t change.
Well, I think that comes across fine without Kylo knowing his ID. Makes more sense for Phasma to provide a name to his hunch.
Oh, right. Damn.
Her not being at peace until Ben dies just makes it seem like she was intentionally trying to distract him so Rey could kill him.
Would it do to just insert Leia disappearing after Ben tosses his saber? That might fit in nicely with the next line being about how “the Princess of Alderaan messed up my plan.”
Hard pass.
Sent this to a Jewish friend as a joke. A joke, mind you.
“ I saw The Rise of Skywalker again and I think I get it now. Take a story that already has a fluid continuity as works reinterpret prior works, whose story was concluded nicely while leaving room for one to follow in the heroes’ steps. A story of reckoning with evil and religious commentary about prophecies that can be applied liberally. No one character dominates the story and many add their part.
Then, many years later, the story abruptly continues. An overpowered godlike character with no flaws shows up to outdo all prior characters in their areas of talent. This character handles everything effortlessly with no regard for nuance or ambiguity. Featuring unprecedented death and resurrection, this person defeats the beefed up singular bad guy after being anointed by spiritual ancestors and takes retroactive credit for everything back to the beginning. Where there was noble failure now there is painfully literal success such that no one else need try to contribute any longer and just bow down to the unwavering greatness of the new Chosen One.
I get it now.”
I’ll play around with it more whenever I can. Thanks.
If I did use the ‘mother’ line, which it’s looking like I won’t, I would certainly offer an alternate audio track. Just like for ANH (“I wanted you to have this”) and ESB (“A Jedi Master who instructed me”).
And I will not be using the added Vader screams for that scene. I wish I could burn them from my sensitive audio-memory.

I remember this site getting early info on the cue list for TFA so they are credible. Also this was recorded for a longer edit of the film on November 11 which means a lot of the deleted scenes are in a finished condition.
We can certainly hope so.
That would make sense, since it was originally from a close-up. Which of the two versions do you feel is more natural?
Twin Peaks would be great if I hadn’t already seen it.
I like APOM so far. The writing is compelling but the story is getting started. From the POV of just being glad to have something to read, I’m happy.
Wow, any improvement to those deleted scenes would certainly be welcome!
I think the ST titles are pretty good and fit their respective stories. Even other films reference these.
“Leading then to the last Jedi…”
“Something inside me has always been there, and now it’s awake.” Etc.
The Thrawn titles fit fine, too, but I really don’t feel the need to change titles.
Here’s a slightly alternate version, more closely matching NeverAr’s implementation. What would be ideal would be two new shots of Hux to use before and after Snoke stands. As it is here, it seems a little ‘fan edit-y,’ but might be better anyway than the version posted above.

Well, trust me, it was great!
That will probably have to wait until tomorrow to fix.
^ I don’t think it’d be possible to get a decent reaction shot.
Here’s the second Snoke scene, using a genius idea from NeverAr that corrects a longstanding continuity error in TFA:R -
If someone does end up pursuing a fan edit that removed the whole ‘Rey Palpatine’ thing, they’d have a good opportunity to make the final scene free of dialogue, ala the other 8 films.
