Absolutely.
Absolutely.
I appreciate it, but 3PO makes enough subtle head movements during those lines that I doubt it’d be worth the effort and seem like something was removed.
Unrelated: One thing I would certainly like to see is the single shot onboard the destroyer that blasts Kijimi altered to depict the crew as First Order. At minimum replace their insignia, but anything else would help. I can’t remember if their hats don’t match what we see of the First Order officers. The helmeted people are unique, and while that can be fine, it’d be even better if their helmets could be replaced with those we see at the start of TLJ worn by those working the main guns targeting the Raddus (the big black helmets that cover their whole head).
Awesome. Thanks in advance, and don’t expend an inordinate amount of effort if it stops being fun.
Lol. It can be tedious finding good dialogue for 3PO from cartoons and stuff.
Not really needed, but I think it’d be cool to change 3PO’s interaction with the troopers. (“That’s not even a language!”) He should just haplessly be trying to find protocol to attend to, not necessarily aware that the troopers are hostile.
I do like the moment as it is, so it’s just an idea.
Maybe it has to do with upgrading to an SSD, but now FCP7 seems like it’s going to take foreeeeever to encode TLJ and TFA, so it may be a while before I really get started with TROS.
I like it!
I’d support that idea and use it if it can be done.
Kylo Ren throwing that guy up onto the ceiling is JJ throwing us up onto the ceiling for asking reasonable questions.
There’s been talk of adding Coruscant if the Ewoks are repurposed to witness the Falcon crash landing. And maybe depict Kylo’s destroyer as being above Coruscant.
PM sent. Make sure to run it through your antivirus first.
(Kidding!)
I’m starting to think that without any other footage or delete scenes to work with, it makes sense to go ahead and tell us Kylo is searching for Palpatine. 😕
Lol
I have no problem with that moment and wouldn’t want to chip it away.
Nah.
I am pleased to be encoding a V4 for TLJ:L. It’s just got a few things that poppasketti was gracious enough to supply from his V3 efforts. Those things are:
Adding Rey’s voice calling out to Finn immediately prior to him waking from his coma, to gently tie into his Force sensitivity that was not bridged between TFA and TROS
A puff of blue smoke rises from Snoke right after he is cut in half, out of focus in the background, providing a very subtle clue about his nature (though I did not use the flash of red Sith eyes as he is stabbed)
Special effects during the deleted scene with Finn and Rose on the shuttle have been spruced up by poppasketti, including adding floating debris and fixing the perspective of the planet
The shot of the rebel alliance insignia ring at the very end has been removed
I don’t think that I’ll revisit TFA and TLJ after this (and fixing a video glitch in TFA:R V4), even if you all keep coming up with cool stuff. I have revisited them once each following TROS to tie into it in appropriate ways, so I think this will be it for those two.
I mean, it should be trivial to add one, so… sure!
Oh, no problem! Are you talking about the very end, though?
What are you talking about? The very end of the credits?
And even a different time of day.
I don’t see any reason not to pursue this! It can always be put in an alternate audio track at worst.
I’ve had it not work out more than actually work out, so I avoid using proxies personally.
I definitely want to at least put out a version of this that won’t change Rey’s Palpatine lineage, even if I do end up doing so. Because I will take a heavy ‘project management’ approach to best leverage my extremely limited time and Dominic already has efforts in his pipeline to tackle that aspect of things, I will start off focusing on other areas.
Rey feels insecure about the darkness she perceives inside her, especially as it presents danger to her loved ones. Having a repressed memory of killing her parents would fit in naturally.
If the scene already had music I’d just try to work in a single instance of the “dun dun duhduhduh, dun dun duhduhduh.”
Something about communication being cut off would maybe help bridge Poe’s sense of despair and the enormous civilian fleet that musters once given the chance. But something else to serve that purpose could be put in its place.
Cool! I wonder if there’s ever been an alternate recording of the track. That may help it feel like it’s what was originally done.
