I’d suggest avoiding Jar Jar in particular, even if you use him to depict someone else.

Maybe his head could explode the second onward from which it would be possible for him to be edited around.
But yeah, Finn really didn’t amount to very much after going through the same arc twice.
I initially thought changing the planet to Naboo was unnecessary effort, but it might be nice. I can’t imagine not borrowing this if indeed it is fully realized.
Leia working in the shadow of her mother on her and Palpatine’s home planet. (Last seen briefly in ROTJ depending on what version you watch.)
Of course, it would be criminal not to add, “Wesa free!” to the background as the victors return to base at the end.
If someone suggested ducks, they are a genius.
Checks whether I removed Panaka’s line about ducks from COD
Sees that I did
Poodoo. Still, mirroring or invoking the sound design heard at the Gungan sacred place would help a great deal with this idea.
But, and I’m a little reluctant to ask, shouldn’t we expect to see some gungans around this Resistance base on Naboo? Or maybe just one somewhere?
The first 1/3 of ANH. Luke was killed by the Tuskens. Vicious, mindless monsters.
I’m super busy with work and life, and feel that I have very little real creativity to offer this film.
So, for now I’m sort of stagnate. Like the updated OP says, I’m anticipating being an MC for this one more than ever. I’d like to compile and put out something, partly to round out the whole saga, and I know many here don’t necessarily want to commit to a full edit while they produce wonderful clips and concepts. But that only comes with time and patience.
The Endor thing is great! It doesn’t seem that it would even require removing the Ewok moment later in the movie.
Wasn’t aware of that! Could you tell me exactly which two frames were restored? It shouldn’t be much trouble to take care of; I still have my sources in place.
Not sure if it’s a good idea to license footage for something like this for a fee.
That optical wipe from the theatrical was omitted (probably accidentally) from the DVD release, and was restored for the BluRay.
The “nooo” was never altered, contrary to rumor. We have the theatrical DTS audio and it’s identical.
😃
Gotcha, thanks!
Season 1 episode 16, he says “relics of a bygone era” around the 12:30 mark. Again, haven’t tested it yet.
What’s the episode name? I got what was labeled as that episode and don’t think Poe is in it.
Not saying I am, but why do you ask?
The reforging of Kylo’s mask will be interspersed with similar flashing images from Rey’s vision, though clearer flashbacks this time. First we’ll see Kylo killing Han with Luke’s voiceover - “You killed him.” Then Kylo’s saber phasing through Luke with Rey’s voiceover - “You lost.” Then finally Kylo offering his hand to Rey - “Join me” - and her shutting the door on him with her voiceover - “Creature in a mask.” Hopefully giving some motivation for Kylo hiding behind the mask again.
So looking forward to seeing this! Just saying.
Whenever I can, I’d like to see if I can add a reaction shot of Kylo right after the board room guy asks “and what does the Emperor ask in return” accompanied by a musical sting to kind of imply why he kills him for asking what seems like a perfectly measured, rational question.
Deepfake all Final Order crew with Palpatine’s face.
I’m not good at it either, but we’ll see how it goes. I’m sure DrDre or someone will do a good job.
Probably but I would apply that kind of thing last. And I’m sure some of us will come up with some good overall LUTs
Awesome. Well, there’s no hurry, and collaborator sounds better than servant.
Saying of which… Chase, if I could send you the clip of Rey standing up to Palpatine’s, could you apply your work to it to depict the spirits of the Jedi subtly powering her up? Unless your source material was fairly high quality. Just no color correction or other adjustment so that whatever settings are ultimately applied can be to most if not all clips added along the way.
Looking out over this project like
But, to you all
Yeah… can we have Luke haunt him?
Eh, doesn’t really fit in that well. Oh, well.
