I like the DO scene! Did you do audio in 5.1? Could you perhaps make the audio assets available independently, for me to ensure it fits together with the rest of the movie? I might play with the music further or what have you.

Anything to remove the repeat of TFA’s final notes would be welcome. I wasn’t happy with a rough mockup of using the end of ROTS’ audio because the two don’t align well.
Can’t see the DO scene yet because the link was duplicated, but it’d be wonderful to see that brief scene in usable shape as a way to let at least a moment breathe.
The music test feels like it was legitimately intended for the scene. What’s the source? Was it indeed from the soundtrack? I haven’t really kept up with the nuances of this stuff this time around.
Not a problem, and it should be relatively quick and easy to do. If two frames’ worth of space need to be added (or un-removed, I shouldn’t be surprised to find out as was the case with ROTJ) at that scene transition, that’s easy enough.
Assuming that’s all it’d need. I assume 4K80 will also sync to this, but I could update it further if needed for that.

Can you tell me where exactly the break in sync occurs? If you can show me the shot that has the two extra frames I shouldn’t even have to download D+80 and rip it and take the time and effort.
I’ll take a look when I can, but I expect we’ll do better to take inspiration in generating one or more LUTs to apply to avoid quality degradation and issues with consistency across sources.

As things are, my version uses the SE for the entire Battle of Yavin. I would find it distracting personally to switch back and forth.
I don’t plan to revise it in light of that error, but I’d think more about it if I were doing an update for other reasons.
If we could get the shockwave removed from Alderaan or the continuity error fixed during the SE Biggs scene, maybe, but on its own I don’t think it’d be worth the nontrivial amount of effort it’d take me.

I’d suggest avoiding Jar Jar in particular, even if you use him to depict someone else.
Maybe his head could explode the second onward from which it would be possible for him to be edited around.
But yeah, Finn really didn’t amount to very much after going through the same arc twice.
I initially thought changing the planet to Naboo was unnecessary effort, but it might be nice. I can’t imagine not borrowing this if indeed it is fully realized.

I’m super busy with work and life, and feel that I have very little real creativity to offer this film.
So, for now I’m sort of stagnate. Like the updated OP says, I’m anticipating being an MC for this one more than ever. I’d like to compile and put out something, partly to round out the whole saga, and I know many here don’t necessarily want to commit to a full edit while they produce wonderful clips and concepts. But that only comes with time and patience.
The Endor thing is great! It doesn’t seem that it would even require removing the Ewok moment later in the movie.
